Bright and long lasting laser projection

Laser projection is the way of the future. I had initial reservation about spending so much on a projector when there were cheaper bulb-based alternatives available. I was setting up a daily use home theater to replace a large screen TV. The JVC projects onto a 120" screen with no bulb dimming after almost 600 hours of use. In normal bright mode fan noise is audible but tolerable. In eco mode the fan noise is not an issue. Despite the laser's brightness rating our home theater room requires heavy curtains to control ambient light. In 4K HDR mode the effective brightness is less in order to handle the large dynamic range. Overall very happy with the purchase. At our current usage rate the laser should last more than 10 years which is probably longer than a typical large screen TV

We bought this projector for a small high school's theater. It works for that purpose.
