Customers appreciate the Q150 Series 5.25" 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers (Pair) for their amazing sound quality and impressively wide soundstage. The speakers are also praised for their beautiful, clean, and modern design, as well as their incredible imaging and impressive size. However, some customers have noted that the speakers require significant power to perform optimally.

Very nice speakers, especially with the half off sale. Very musical, but also good with movies when paired with a sub. I use one on its side as a center channel. They also sound great off-axis (we sit on a long couch to watch movies). The cabinet itself is cheaply finished, but they do look really cool. My kids call them "Darth Vader" speakers as they have a bit of "Death Star" motif with the uni-Q driver. They aren't as efficient as, say, Klipsch or SVS though, so you need a decently powered AVR or amp to drive them. When I compared them to SVS Prime bookshelves, I had to turn the volume up 3 clicks to get the Q150's to produce equivalent sound level (I used a dB meter).

For the sale price of $300 these are great. They are clean and handle anything I throw at them. They aren’t super efficient and I have noticed my receiver has to be turned up louder to get the same levels as my last speakers (energy), but they are a smoother sound so I am very happy with the change.
