It's good, i like all the display colors that your can choose from. Sound seems good. Only issue i found was with the alexa part. I downloaded the app on my phone and hooked up the Alexa, and it was ridiculous... every min or so she would interrupt wtv i was listening to and say "I didn't catch that". I had to uninstall because it didn't work right.

Compared to the Sony DSX series which I'd give 9/10, this is probably an 8. The Sony offers more power and can drive a sub. This Kenwood provides clear audio with tons of audio customization options, almost too many. The large display and volume knob keep my eyes on the road and Bluetooth pairing is consistent and easy. Interestingly, it uses a programmable timer to control the dimmer rather than a wired dimmer switch. Through the app there's a limitless selection of display colors, making it easy to match the factory look. It fits flush with a Metra double DIN kit for a super clean install.

Easy hassle free installation, super high quality sound, easy Bluetooth connection, easy microphone installation, must purchase the correct double bin installation kit plus speaker wire adapters to make this installation even easier and pleasant. Easy navigation and set up, Loving this radio.

This is a great value for the money. There are several of these styles of head units in different brands but I went with Kenwood as I've had Kenwood head units before and they have been of great quality. I'm not disappointed with how it's performed and glad I went with it. The only concern I have is that the heatsink on the back gets extremely hot if using the head unit speaker outputs. The higher end units use a fan to cool the internal amp but this one doesn't and I was worried about it overheating. I have bunch of old computer chipset heat sinks and was able to secure a descent sized one on the surface of the head unit heat sink to dissipate the heat further and it seems to have helped quite a bit and I have more confidence I won't have any issues, but I do worry that could be a problem if not addressed when running the internal amp for speakers. I may switch to an external amp down the road anyway, but for now I'm comfortable with it.

This is by far my favorite receiver for the money and a great way to add new media technology in older cars. I am not a "new" car kind of person, so this is perfect for me. Setup and user controls are great, Plus.... BUTOONS AND KNOBS!.. great for the neurodivergents in all of us.

I love Kenwood bought this unit because my Kid didn't want a touch screen,Paired it with a Kicker amp a 4 Polk 6.5 spkrs and it Sounds Crisp with a lot of Bump.

I found this stereo very easy to install and has many features that make it sound very good, i also used a car installation kit for the trimto make it look more professional

Good news: Best price I could find for a replacement receiver for an older car. The installation is straightforward and pretty easy for anyone to accomplish. The receiver worked and sounded great with the original factory speakers in 1999 Toyota Camry. Bad news: Receiver stopped working after 4 months out of the blue. Fuses fines and power to unit OK. Unit just died. A bit of research I did online shows that the unit has issues with getting hot and is likely an issue. Should have purchased the Best Buy warranty. Kenwood warranty is a bit cumbersome and basically, I am on the hook for the cost of shipping to Kenwood Repair and then hope for the best in getting it back in a timely manner. I ended up just buying another receiver online with next-day delivery and installed. The original receiver is sitting on the floor in the garage.

I installed it myself and it works great. For the price range I'd definitely go with this model. Its simple and yet very sleek. 5/5

Made my stock speakers sound way better. Powerful enough for what I need. The menu’s can get complicated though.

Easy to program sounds better then Pioneer. Bluetooth music sounds better too.
