I have 4 cars. One with a JVC head unit that is about 10 years old in a Saturn along with 2,500 watts. A Jensen in another car, roughly same dimensions etc... Same power. 6.5 Infinity speakers in four spots and a 12" Kicker sub in the back. 1 amp for sub, one for stereo and speakers. Mix of Pioneer and Fosgate amps in all my cars. beautiful sound in those two old cars. Lows, Mids and Highs all balance and crush. Shake my windows and mirrors and the guy next to me mirrors will shake too. We have two of this model, well, one of this model and the one that was made the next year with aesthetic changes. My son has the newer in his '95 Camaro (3,500 watts), with Capacitors and amps etc pushing dual 12" in the back, tweeters, 6.5 doors and backs. In my '69 Chevelle I have the single competition Kicker 12", 6x9's with a 500 watt RMS in each, two 6.5 Kickers in the front panel and a something x 4 (Kenwood I think) that was already in the car top of dash. The MAJOR issue I notice is, very clear highs, and deep bass (several combinations of Gain attempted etc...) where my two smaller cars can be pushed to 33 or so and clear. This Kenwood cuts bass down as you go up, you basically get a VERY low tone of bass, no mids or any levels from 2-6 on the EQ doesn't even sound like they are involved. Very little bass player unless he plays a low tuned bass, but giant earth shaking thumps on the lowest end. I've used all settings in combination with each other, and nothing helps. I like a full sound and have been installing and setting EQ's since about 1978. Loudness, Stage EQ blah blah blah. I've tried them all. At my age, I can stand next to Hatebreed, Too Short or anyone's monitors and not even flinch. This treble is ear splitting and never seems to spit out the entire low end of the track. Need to work on the middle low end of the EQ and make it actually take over the sub like the others did and fill out the sound, not just splitting treble and an occasional explosion from my trunk. I like a bass player even when the singer and a guitar are screeching, Mix them, no auto lowering of unrelated frequencies through the stereo. I would not recommend yet until those sound issues are correct across the platform. Thank you. :)

    Warranty Suck

Radio play great. Reviewing Warranty. Something I believe is very important when buying and thing. I purchased this Radio from Best Buy. 12/12/2016 I installed it on 12/15/2016 and the Remote was not working. They want you to mail them the remote on your own dime. Which will cost your about 5 dollar, when remote only cost 10. That is the crazy thing I ever heard. I will never ever buy Kenwood again. I will hate to use the radio 1 year warranty. Told Kenwood I was going to place this on ever review site I could fine. He said he did not care...

Had installed yesterday. Display is unreadable due to glare even at max brightness. Won't sync to our Android or windows phones. The sound quality is mediocre. Buttons are too small. Options are confusing. Want more basic options like bass/ treble/front/back to adjust. I hate this thing! Taking back to store and finding something that is easier to use and works.

    Not very happy with purchase

Not too happy with this product. The lighting on it is terrible. During the day, it is very hard to see it. The time and date consistently do not show on the screen. I would purchase one next time with a larger screen area to see it. I do like that I can now use hands free for hooking it up to my cell phone.
