I bought this then returned it, it doesn’t do what it says will do

Does not work with all kitchen aid mixers. I can’t base review on other mixers that it might work with.

Unit was missing a connection piece. Had to return because i could not be connected to my mixer.

Plastic paddle piece snapped when making ice cream

I got this since August 2015, but was waiting to review when it has actually been used. My wife loved this attachment for her KitchenAid mixer. She tried it and loved it; the only thing is that you need to be patient as the ice cream mixture needs to be chilled for a few hours (depends on the recipe) before the churning process, and the bowl itself needs to be frozen for at least 12 hours. But, overall, the product works great! No complaints here.

I got a KitchenAid mixer last holiday, and I soon begged for this accessory afterwards. It's fabulous! Put the bowl in the freezer, pop in the ingredients, and mix mix mix until it gets more solid. It's a nice dual use for the mixer and the bowl isn't so huge that it takes up the whole freezer.

This attachment worked wonderfully! The directions are very clear and easy to understand. I started off with the vanilla ice cream, and the finished result turned out fabulous! This product is worth every penny if you already own the stand mixer. Very easy to clean the bowl and utensils. I keep the bowl in the freezer at all times. I am anxious to try the fruit sorbets next.

Good investment if you have a mixer and want to make ice cream. Be prepared for long freeze time of the bowl and chill time for the ingredients.

I have only used the attachment once and it was an experience that required patience. You have to freeze the attachment first. Then once your mix is made you have to refrigerate that for at least 4 hours. So all in all it took days instead of hours to make, but the eventual outcome was worth it. It was easy to assemble, clean, and use. All in all I am happy with the purchase.

When we make ice cream it is usually just for the 2 of us so we like to make different flavors. This attachment is just the right size for smaller batches of ice cream instead of making it in a regular size ice cream maker. It is easy to use and you do not have to mess with the ice and salt.

what i do and i love mine is i buy a quart of strawbrry or vanilla yougurt, freeze it and add things like chopped cookies etc. so much healthier than ice cream, no mess with salt and ice I bought one for my sister for christmas i was so impressed. Use your imagination and make hundreds of sorbets like tutti fruitti

Love this ice cream machine. Storing it in the freezer is wonderful. Not another kitchen appliance that needs to be stuck away in the cabinets. So easy to use. Everyone here in Phoenix, should have one. Love love love it....A++++

This accessory makes it so easy to make delicious ice cream anytime you want it. I bought a great ice cream recipe book to use with it and enjoy experimenting with it. This accessory came free with the purchase of my KitchenAid so it was a great value. I have no complaints: it's a great size for storage in the freezer and for the amount of ice cream it produces.

Used the ice cream maker 3 times and the drive assembly became misaligned. The drive assembly no longer works. Very disappointed in this Kitchen Aid product.
