From what I understand, the "blue goo" may be a result of NOT letting the bowl fully defrost before storing it. I left my bowl out overnight and stored it... No "blue goo" for me

I got this a couple of years ago when I got my KitchenAid mixer for mother's day. the bowl is really amazing although I have had to buy another one because there was a random leak even though I'm very careful of it and it has its own shelf in the freezer of our side by side - because it has to it takes up a good amount of space. When the first one started leaking my husband said it was definitely worth the price of another because the quality of ice cream is yummy. Also initially the first one I was shipped was damaged. So in theory I'm on bowl number 3.

Great ice cream maker

You have to freeze the bowl for sometime but it is totally worth the wait. I just leave it in the freezer so it is always ready to use.

I scream, you scream...

Ice cream was great and really easy. Lots of recipes on line, so we shouldn’t get tired of using this. We can’t wait to try sherbet!
