I found it very easy to use and the ice cream came out great.

Bought this a a two-part Christmas gift for my wife with the Spiralizer. Purchased this during the holiday season so I was able to get it at a reasonable price. She was totally in love with it. Its a little tricky to get all set up and to make the ice cream but she enjoys trying different flavors and combinations. I think its a cool attachment for anyone with a KitchenAid mixer.

My wife asked for this specific addition to her stand mixer. We have used it many times. Makes delicious home made ice cream. Be warned though - the bowl requires a significant amount of pre-cooling time. This makes it challenging for any type of spontaneous ince cream making - that is the only downside.

Too bulky. Too time consuming. period. My wife said it took up too much room in the freezer. She also didn't like all the prep work to make ice cream. We'll apparently go back to the old fashioned electric/crank ice cream maker.

Fantastic accessory for your kitchen aid mixer. Attachments fit easily on most (all?) stand mixers and are easily cleaned. Just remember it really needs a full overnight freeze to work and make sure your mix is chilled completely since you cannot simply add more ice like you would on a barrel style churner.

I have wanted a kitchenaid mixer for years and finally bought one, I am extremely happy. I was so excited I bought several accessories. The ice cream attachment is a must have if you even just like ice cream! It’s easy to use, fun to make yummy flavors with and so much simpler than a normal ice cream machine!

I bought this for my wife last month and she absolutely loves it. She likes to make natural foods for our Paleio diet, so this was a great way for her to make some great treats for us with relative ease. As others have said, make sure you chill the mixer well before you want to make the ice cream. It seems of good quality...as it should for a $100 add-on.

The ice cream freezes quickly, and it's nice to not have another appliance taking up space.

I am so glad I went ahead and purchased this item. I was skeptical about purchasing at first and waited a couple of months before I made the decision to purchase. I wish I’d bought it sooner. Very easy to use! I watched a YouTube video to learn how it worked. I had no problems making it work.

Last year I bought the Kitchen Aid and it is amazing. This year I added the Ice Cream Maker and it works like a charm. Keep it in the freezer and when you are ready to make ice cream, pull it out and go for it. A great addition to the Kitchen Aid.

My family loves ice cream and we thought making our own would be fun and healthier. We love this addition to our kitchenaid mixer and look forward to buying more products to add to it. The directions are straight forward and easy to follow. I do wish there were more recipes though.

Love the KitchenAid mixer and all of the attachments. Can't wait to use my latest buy.

This is my num one attachment now, strawberry icecream has never tasted so good, very easy to make, I gathered the ingredients for vanilla and chocolate they will be next along with blueberry. This is a must have for a kitchen aid stand mixer owner.

This is a great item, just be prepared. It is not instant like the old fashioned kind. Very few recipes and the mix has to be chilled for at least 8 hours prior to placing into the maker. The maker needs to be frozen for at least 15 hours on the fist time use.

So far I've only made one batch of ice cream (vanilla, then threw in some broken Reese's chunks and smashed banana). It was soft, and then it hardened up in the freezer. It makes a deceptively large amount of ice cream for a small container. I filled a large Rubbermaid container from one batch. Luckily I have a large freezer, so I always keep this frozen. (Otherwise I'd have to do more pre-planning since it does require to be in the freezer overnight.) The trade off with this method is that it makes it a little hard to clean up since I always keep it cold. The reason I put up with this is because I've read reviews about the blue coolant coming out with too many freeze/thaw cycles. I like having an accessory to work with my Kitchenaid mixer, but I don't think ultimately saves that much space vs a normal ice cream maker.

My wife and I love our Kitchen Aid Mixer. We have the shredder attachment and the sausage maker attachment. We bought the ice cream maker attachment because we thought it would be fun to make ice cream. It is a long process but the ice cream was delicious. Sometimes easier to go to the store and buy it.
