Bought this game for our kids for Christmas and haven't given to them yet so I don't know anything about how the game will play, look etc. I loved Star Wars as a kid so I look forward to seeing them play the game.

How fun! Finally all get to be Jedi Knights. Saber play is fun and the system is very responsive. You need space for this game so you can use the sabers. Worth the price!!

When my son uses this game it occasionally does not pick up the second player leading to high frustration. Single player seems to be fine.

Bought this with high expectations. My children loved this game on the demo at the store. When me got it home, the Kinect feature could not "see" the kids. Note- yes we went through the calibration, tracking adjustment and room spacing scenario. For adults, the response on the Kinect is delayed, sluggish and glitchy. Cool concept, but there are better Kinect games out there.

If you want the full, polished it experience in a smaller package, is worth the premium price.

Great overall, but a nitpick or two

The (first?) Star Wars-themed game for Kinect offers much promise - from dancing games, to being a monster and stomping on everything for fun (like the old video game 'Rampage'), to light saber (sword) duels, jumping over tethered logs meant to smoosh you into pulp, and even jumping on riding speeders going through a jungle forest... this game covers the Star Wars franchise really well. It might appeal to non-Star Wars fans if they can overlook the Star Wars concepts put in as well.
There are a LOT of controls and movements to learn, which led me to think this game is jam-packed and it by and large is.
If anything, to nitpick, the light saber battles (which is the one game of the bunch that would persuade the most amount of people to buy it)0 are a tad tedious to control, probably in part due to the complexity and speed of these games, complete with having to reflect laser blasts... Especially when the lame droids from episode 1 come in, complete with their (unintentionally camp?) dialogue. The dialogue is ridiculous, and it takes a needless amount of time to slash these stupid things to bits. Some people will undoubtedly like their comments and in a way they are funny, but for a big nasty Galactic Gestapo, having comedy robot bad guys does put a damper on their claimed sense of threat.
But that's the only real nitpick. The other games are conscious in how they have the player maneuvering. Even outstretching and retracting hands in the speeder chases to control speed. It's like an aerobic workout, only FUN.
But the speeder chase through the forest, aiming at imperial troops that fly ahead of you, jumping up and over the battering ram logs that swish through your path... you don't find many venues in shopping malls that allow you to get some good exercise like that...
In short, I did find a LOT of this Kinect game to be enjoyable, that just about make up for any deficiencies with light saber battles. And, for all I know, there might be game updates that can be downloaded; I've yet to hook my new XBox to the internet...
The game incorporates a back story and the voices of Yoda and C3PO. Most of these intermissions can be skipped (left hand down, right hand at 45 degree angle). If you are really into the Star Wars franchise, they're undoubtedly entertaining. I liked episode 4-6, but there's enough in the game to appease even the more jaded fans such as myself.
I noted that, when installing the disc into the console, it had to update my Xbox. It doesn't hurt anything, that I currently know of. I'll edit this if problems ensue... but, so far, no worries.
5.1 sound is pretty much fantastic. For example, water running in the background in relevant scenes really immerses the player, no pun intended. It does add atmosphere and depth, and once you hear it you would never want to go back to basic two-speaker stereo or monaural sound. That's a big "yawn-a-rama" by comparison.
Visuals are really good as well. Especially the light sabers, ironically... and, with HDMI @ what looks like 1080p, it is impressive.
And the gameplay, even for the scenes that reflect the prequel trilogy, are far more engaging than the prequel trilogy movies themselves could ever be.
But I will not dance for Jabba, sorry... :)
Star Wars fans will definitely appreciate stock Kinect motivations immersed in the Star Wars universe. Even those that disliked the prequels, 'Return of the Jedi', the 1978 Holiday special, etc, will find a lot to actually like in this game. Casual players definitely won't care for the Star Wars critters, might enjoy these games IF they can get around listening to Wookie-this, Padme-that, or Force-the-other-thing.

I don't really purchase too many games, I buy one and I play it till I finish it, I received the Kinect last year as a gift and although it is great system, I felt the games were lacking gameplay, not all but most. Not anymore, Star Wars has paved the way for future gaming. This game just blows me away, my son (3yrs old) can play this too, which amazes me. The game play can be challenging, but the concept is easy, mastering it is another thing. So far I'm in the first Story line and I've already learned how to use the force, swing my lightsaber, ride a speed racer, and manned a gunner and this is only in the first 30 minutes of play. Graphics and sound are great! The music is awesome and it really gets you into the storyline. The only thing that could make this game better would be a real lightsaber made for the game that would vibrate in different variations when you hit something. Pair that up with a glove that vibrates when you use the force and you got an epic franchise Lucas!

I'm not a gamer, lost interest when video games got too complicated with all the different buttons & combos necessary to move the player. This game is exactly as advertised - you are the controller, simply do what you would really do & the game keeps up, making you part of the action with simple moves. Best video game EVER!!!! Hands down, the best.

This game has a lot of different types of game modes that has the Star Wars influence when using the interface of the kinect. You can be a Jedi, a pod racer, even a rancor if you'd choose to. Great fun for any Star Wars fans but it's not a very challenging game besides the fact the response from the kinect can sometimes be very off.

Great workout, perfect story, but really short. You will get to fight light swords, drive through the forest on gravitation bikes and fight in space on a spaceship piloted by your whole body.
Full immersion for the fans of Star Wars. I am not considering myself a huge fan, but it was really interesting to get your hands (literally) on all the possible attractions.
I am not an athlete, my reaction is pretty slow too, and still I was able to finish it in a couple of evenings. There are also mini games included that somewhat compensate for the shortness of the main one.
