Picked this up after hearing about it through ESO whom I follow on YouTube. Very good graphical quality especially on the Xbox one x with a 4k screen. Rivals many of the Skyrim SE graphic mods I've seen for forests, cities etc. Gameplay takes getting used to as it's not the kind of game where you can just get a weapon and kill everyone like a Skyrim. You actually have to think about attacks and defense more thoughtfully because even if you just barely scrape by in a fight you could still die due to your injuries if you were not prepared enough. Your character will never be a true one man army as he is just a normal guy and the game is meant to be as realistic as possible. I have ran into glitches here and there and occasionally buggy mechanics but considering this was not a massive budget game I think they did an excellent job.

This game isn't polished to the level I would have hoped, but it is incredibly immersive. Great story, and the world really pulls you into it. If you're a hardcore gamer who likes GoT or Lord of the Rings, but can deal with a realistic interpretation of the medieval ages, this is the game for you.

This game is not Skyrim or Oblivion, but that doesn't mean it is bad! Just know what to expect when you go in. This game is a realistic approach to the medieval genre and plays more like a sim game. Keeping your character fed and rested are big deals, combat is tough but fair and based on actual fighting styles. It takes a bit to get used to but the characters grow on you and the story is interesting enough as you help Henry on his journey.
My average rating is due to some bugs that will probably be ironed out in patches, but at launch this game had some rough spots.
Pick this up if you like open world exploring, RPG type games, or sim games.

Loving this game from the moment it went into my Xbox One X. I only wish I could give it 5 stars instead of 4. The game released a little premature for my liking. I can deal with MINOR bug issues however the ones I've come across are main/ side quest related that keeps me from progressing further without updates.
The reason I am still rating this a 4 start is the uniqueness in gameplay and realism with an interesting story. Love medieval history and time along with sword combat and jousting. This game delivers a wonderfully new combat system of strategy rather than hack and slash button mashing games.
There are new updates/ patches coming out every other week or so fixing the major bugs and issues. I look for a promising future for Warhorse and Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Realism is often desired but rarely appreciated in gaming. We all say we want a realistic experience in a medevil setting. But truly we're all looking for another Skyrim power fantasy. KCD is not a POWER FANTASY it's a rag to regular Joe tale about a wanna be who gradually gets more skilled. Knowing that upfront when help mitigate frustrations with the absence of aforementioned power fantasy troupes. Play this game for the story and the realism. Not the RPG. I am enjoying the attention to detail and story.

I'm a huge medieval history buff which is what drew me to this game. It is meant to be fairly historically accurate in its story telling and that excited me. I have so far been pleased with that aspect of the game. The development team if VERY active in this game post release and that is great because there were many bugs that the game was released with which i believe are pulling the game down in reviews. It is getting better, i have not had any major bugs that caused me to need to go back hours of playtime. There are a few things you should know about the game as well. Since it is historically accurate it's important to understand what is going on and the cut scene are very long. I swear i've sat through a 15 minute cut scene already. The problem is they are unpausable. So, if life comes up, which happens when your in your late 20s or 30s like me with kids and wife etc, its frustrating missing story line because you cannot pause it...especially since that's such a huge draw to the game. This is otherwise a great, unique game and i am excited to put in the 100+ more hours i'll need to beat it to my satisfaction.

It's "extremely" tough to recommend this game because of how slow it starts out, how difficult the combat mechanics are, the dreadful lock-picking system, and many other annoyances in the early gameplay, but the storyline is very engaging, the characters are memorable and feel like real-life people you actually care about, and the game's steep learning curve demands you invest a lot of hours to master everything--it will reveal itself to be a medieval masterpiece over time.
This game is far different than any other RPG before it. It's brutally demanding, realistic (adult material), and you will be frustrated easily for the first several hours as you try to comprehend all of the mechanics. Once you learn how everything works, only then is the game rewarding and brilliant. The musical score is amazing, the visuals are both amazing and ugly in some areas, befitting the game of this epic scale. Load times are tolerable, but better if you use a SDD.
You must maintain your health, sleep, armor, weapons, and so much more in this fantasy simulation. Combat and lock-picking, again, are the hardest elements in this game that will take a considerate amount of time to master because this is not a hack-and-slash. Be prepared to do a lot of fetch quests, time waiting, and some quests will progress without you as if in real life if you wait too long to fulfill an NPC's needs. A simple task could take you over an hour to do because you sometimes have to make long treks if you lack a horse or haven't unlocked fast-travel options.
You have to go into this game with a lot of patience and smarts, but through hard work and trial and error, you will be rewarded a genuine experience that is unlike any other RPG out there. Some quests involve some detective work, interrogation of characters, and all of your choices have actual consequences--good and bad.
This is one of those one-hit gaming wonders that you will either immensely enjoy or absolutely hate with a passion. Give it a rental first or catch this game when it is deeply on sale.

Very immersive, grounded, huge world.
Bugs galore, save system is terrible, unforgiving difficulty.
If you are patient and willing to invest the time, this game provides a wonderful, in-depth look at medieval life.
I am not, and will be shelving it until it’s gets some major updates.

Does the game have bugs? Yes. Can these bugs be frustrating cause you just lost a few hours? Yes. I've put 80 hours into this game so far and even with all the bugs, I can't stop playing it. This game has a way of making you care about Henry in a way that most game developers can't mimic.
I have not been this sucked in since Witcher 3 or GTA 5. I also can't stand 1st person rpg's but this game is the exception. Just buy it, you won't regret it.

Kingdom Come Deliverance is on of the best role playing games I have ever played because there is so much to explore and so many different things to do that you couldn't in other video games. The game is very challenging yet very rewarding, and it has a main story that you instantly will be immersed in. I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes history and/or role playing games in general for all of these reasons.

This RPG is jam packed with content. This is an amazing open world game that I have personally spent 50+ hours playing. With only a few complaints, one of them is how slow the game renders on my Xbox one s and the amount of bugs I’ve encountered kingdom come is still one of my favorite games. The content is enough to make up for these set backs. Highly recommend to anyone who likes games like Skyrim and fallout.

The medieval world is rather engaging and you do feel like you're existing in that time and place, despite some jank. I understand the developer's intentions, however sometimes too much "realism" doesn't always make for an enjoyable experience. The game has improved substantially since it's initial release, especially with little QoL features, but the performance, even on a One X, still leaves a lot to be desired. There's fun to be had, if you can overlook the many issues.

There are some bugs that hopefully get smoothed out in future patches and loading can get quite annoying so I would caution to have some patience. But, the story is wonderful and engulfing. The game play isn’t like any other games out there but once you get the hang of how it works you will feel great satisfaction and accomplishment as you edge through the large world.

I came into this game not expecting too much but was surprised at how much of a blast I’m having with it. Some things to know before purchase:
1. This is not a fantasy RPG nor are there any supernatural elements
2. It’s very slow paced with complex systems such as rest, eating, fatigue etc
3. Combat is complex and requires actual thought. As it’s 1st person the swordplay is almost like old Elder Scrolls games (part 1 and 2)
Great game for history buffs and those who enjoy a challenging unconventional RPG

Good game but i don't like best buys exchange policy i bought this game on sale online and didn't realize i did not click on the ps4 version i tried to exchange it after a couple of days after recieving it but since the sale was over i had to pay regular price. It was unopened and i had the receipt. Under those circumstances I feel that they should have just exchanged it from xbox to ps4 with no upcharge
