Kingdom Hearts II was a great game. Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep was a great game. Kingdom Hearts: re:Coded was an okay game. Without backwards compatibility on PS3, or owning a PSP, or owning a Nintendo DS, you can't play these games and may have missed out. Now they're all together in high definition for a great price! And re:Coded was converted to a movie so you don't have to play through it on a DS anymore to enjoy the story (which is not a problem).

Quick review - One of my most beloved series mixing my favorite Final Fantasy characters, Disney characters, and their own unique characters in a memorable story. Enjoyable for all no matter what age. Start with 1.5 Remix before this one and then get ready for Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and 3 (both not yet released) worth plugging in my ps3 again since I heard the Remix won't be ported to ps4 This review is mainly covering KH 2. I did not play the portables myself. I also like leaving the story telling to part 1 and 2, although the others may shine some light on certain things, I've heard they can also be confusing. Pros - Fun characters both new and old, great story, gameplay in 2 is definitely a step up from part 1. Action RPG is where a lot of the RPG genre games are going these days. Overall simple yet satisfying gameplay mechanics. The music in this game is also one of the best you'll hear. I only wish they continue the trend in future Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and 3. Cons - I think the camera is better than part one, but with these games it usually can come across as an issue. Your team AI can sometimes be unreliable. When Kingdom Hearts first released I was quick to judge it for having a mix of Disney characters, thinking that it would make the game into something strictly for kids. But once my friend let me borrow I quickly realized how wrong I was. I grew up with this series, so it will have that special place in my gaming library for years to come.

Review for Kingdom Hearts 2 Pros: Expanded levels- KH2 expands the areas of worlds that were in the previous KH. There are also new worlds to choose from. The music- The music is KH2 is amazing. Many of the songs are taken from their respective movie, such as This Is Halloween, and are blended in with the game to deliver a fun atmosphere. Gameplay-The gameplay can be seen as very simple or very complex. To someone who just wants to play he/she can play through by simply mashing buttons, however the game offers a variety of tools that can make the game more suitable for the more advanced player. There are spells, summons, special attacks, tram attacks, etc. The best thing about is that they are not difficult to perform. It all depends on the playing style of the gamer. Visuals- The graphics in this game were nicely retouched, complimenting the Disney/Final Fantasy theme. Cons: Cutscenes-The cutscenes in this game seemed a little excessive, especially in the beginning. Telling a story is not a problem but the game would not allow the player to immerse his/herself in the fame without interrupting them with a cutscene. They were nice to look at but should have been a little less. Gameplay- As stated before the game can be played through by button mashing. The problem with with this is that players run the risk of playing a game that extremely repetitive. Without using the extra tools the game will seem bland and boring. Story-The KH story is a very complex one to understand. The die hard KH fan will be more willing to explore and try and understand what the true purpose of the story was. For the casual player, however, the story would just seem complicated and end up not making sense. It does retell some parts of the previous games but it is still recommended to play the other games first, if you are interested in the story. Overall Kingdom Hearts II is a fun and complex game that will appeal to both hardcore and casual gamers. There are obviously more pros and cons to this game but I felt these were my biggest concerns. I believe people should try this game as it is very well put together.

This is an absolutely fantastic value. For the first time ever, NA is able to play content that was exclusive to JP. And it was well worth the wait. There is a ton of content and the added bosses and challenges are very challenging indeed. In fact, some of the newer bosses are near impossible on the hardest difficulty. I highly recommend this to new players and veterans alike. The games looks absolutely gorgeous in HD and with all the new content it's really hard to regret this purchase. At 39.99, this is a steal.

The Kingdom Hearts decimal series is a fantastic set of games. The purpose of the compilations is to get everyone on track with the immense branching plot of Kingdom Hearts to prepare everyone for the release of Kingdom Hearts 3. Definitely pick up 1.5 and 2.5 for the full Kingdom Hearts experience. Despite the silly-sounding premise, the world of Kingdom Hearts is one of the most fleshed out, beautiful stories of our time and well worth the extremely low price tag the games have dropped to.

Kingdom Hearts 2 has always been my favorite game, ever since it was released in 2005. Now it's been released for PS3 in its full HD glory, and let me tell you, it looks beautiful! I'm also extremely excited to play birth by sleep. Ive always heard that it had the best fighting mechanics of all the KH games. OH, and this is the final mix that was released in JAPAN. Even if you think you maxed KH2, there's new stuff in the final mix

Great story line, great musical score, great graphics. Exciting and entertaining!

I love these games dearly, they will always hold a special place in my heart for combining two of my favorite series (Final Fantasy and Disney). This is everything the original game was, but better. Remastered to HD, and combined with some extra content from the portable games. There's not much else to say, if you haven't played Kingdom Hearts pick up 1.5 and this and enjoy the ride.

The main experience for me was KH2. I have played it before, but getting up with updated visuals and the inclusion of Birth by Sleep and the cinematic of Re:coded, it's a much more complete experience. Loved it before, and I love it now. If you never got Kingdom Hearts 2 for the PS2, now is your chance to pick up and play an excellent story and gaming experience

I already had both KH2 and Birth by Sleep, but I really wanted Final Mix. Plus I wanted to play the game in HD. I loved playing Birth by Sleep on my PSP, however, my PSP had some software issues which prevented me to get the whole game experience. For $20, I get to play a couple of games for the price of one. Great story line. Great graphics.

Grest collection for anyone wanting to get into the Kingdom Hearts sereis. You get both Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix AND Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, both in HD as well. Re:Coded comes in a 3-hour movie form, that has improved since the HD 1.5 ReMIX collection. Although it may have some problems via a couple possible crashes (none of which i have encounteted in 100+ hours of gameplay) and loading time issues, the collection is well worth the low price it has.

The follow up to KH 1.5, which should be played first, as this set of games are a direct sequel. A must for any Disney or Final Fantasy fan; gameplay is easy to understand, story and voice cast perform well, and is appropriate for gamers of every age and skill level.

I had the original version on the PS2. Of course the HD remaster looks gorgeous on the next gen console. Also, they included the contents from PSP and kept the price low (mine was less than $20). Definitely worth it especially if you're new to the series.

I'm really enjoying this game for my PS3!! The graphics are great and the storyline excellent!! I don't have a PS4 yet because of the many great games on the PS3!! I will most definitely purchase it from Best Buy when I am ready!!

I have been a fan of KH for years and I could not wait to play Kingdom Hearts 2 and Birth By Sleep again. Same great story and fun combat. Graphically, it looks great compared to the originals. The new remastered soundtrack is spot-on.

This complication brings excellent graphical updates to one of the best RPG series of all time. The story is incredible, but requires one to play the previous games in the series. Highly recommended to any RPG fan!

I wish Square-enix could have treated this series like they do Final Fantasy, but alas, there are only three main stories, with many side story lines intertwined (on different platforms). 2.5 brings Birth by Sleep gameplay to the PS3 and does so flawlessly. It looks amazing on the bigger screen. I personally think they should have brought 3D Dream Drop Distance into this 2.5, but instead it is Kingdom Hearts: coded. Kingdom Hearts: coded is a video clip walkthrough of the entire story without gameplay. The final mix and HD upgrade of KH2 is just enough added to make the game feel like I'm playing it over for the first time. It was well worth the purchase. I love this game series and can't wait until KH3 finally releases.

There isn't much to be said about the games included that hasn't been covered elsewhere. The game graphics overhaul is great. The game is still repayable and the story is still relatable 10 years later.

This is one of my all-time favorite games updated with HD graphics and bonus content. You'll be playing for hours before you even scratch the surface of this game's content!

Ahhh, Kingdom Hearts how I love thee. If you every enjoyed Kingdom Hearts 2 but never got a chance to play it in HD, this is well worth it. I started playing my copy of Kingdom Hearts 2 on the PlayStation 2 last week and found out there was a HD remake. And WOW, what a remake it is! Everything looks so crisp and the framerate appears to be better as well (VERY important during battles). The remakes of the handheld games is just gravy (admittedly I haven't touched those yet, still working on the main game!). Again, if you're a fan of this series, get this NOW! You won't regret it!
