Waited for this game for so long. Love the graphics and love the story line. The game gives a quick summary of what has happened in the story so far so if you're new to the game you wont be missing out on too much.

Got the game on sale. Great buy for a AAA rpg lien this. The story is a little confusing but as long as you know who good and whose bad it's doesn't really matter.

Great game! I have been a fan of the KH series since I first played it when I was 7, this is just one more great addition. The combat has been upped (you can now swap between 3 different keyblades mid fight and each keyblade has a special second form/finisher), the worlds are huge, and the game play is fun/ addictive and easy to get the hang of. Nevertheless, unless you want to be confused, I wouldn't recommend this to newcomers without first beefing up on the old lore or playing the old games; because they reference a lot from the previous games with little context. They've lowered the difficulty since KH 2, (save the very final sections of the game) and unless you go on proud mode its downright easy, but it still is wildly entertaining either way. And to anyone who think the graphics are short of great (okay, I believe you), nah man; this thing is beautiful. Some of the animated sections looked on par if not better than their Disney counterparts and the pirates world was weirdly enjoyable (water combat no longer makes me want to kill myself). So I highly recommend this game if you've played all the others. Also, just a heads up, buy at least one potion/ingredient from every moogle you see. He'll give you a postcard after every first purchase and you need a butt-ton of postcards to get Orichalcum+ (needed for the strongest keyblade).

It was a hard decision for me to make, given all of the amazing improvements added to the overall combat system seen in KH2, alongside the addition of many other features that allowed for greater variety compared to any other game in the franchise. Obviously this wont be loved by everyone but from multiple form changes that include a host of new weapon styled keyblades, ranging from shields, guns, hammers, drills, even claws and much more, then there's the addition of attraction commands which are all stunningly gorgeous allowing unique and entertaining ways of clearing out your foes provides good break from slashing away for every single battle. So to give the honest truth about combat it's never been more enjoyable and varied. It has been noted to be a much easier title than the previous two games. Critical mode or proud mode is recommended for the returning fans. Proud for a first time and then obviously critical mode will really help solve this issue. Overall the music is great as always. Story is good but the pace at which its told is not so good. As far as worlds go they are some of the most beautiful and expansive places ever seen in a KH game, unfortunately the only worlds that have the most depth are Disney's with little to no Original worlds such as radiant Garden, even twilight town is smaller than it was in KH2, which was another huge issue in this entry which was the complete and total absence of FF characters which would be 0 and it really hurts the fact that the whole game was really good for the most part but without the FF influence it just wasn't the same magic that made this game so special in the first place. This was hands down the biggest mistake that KH3 had made, and the game sufferers greatly from this decision to put all eyes on Disney and ignore Final Fantasy completely. The end result is that with the amazingly open worlds and faithful storytelling to the movies, its focus on KHs characters and conclusion to the darkseeker saga it checks into an acceptable though unbalanced experience. Gameplay was really unique and varied moreover it was very fun and smooth to play surprisingly superior to the other games. Critical mode will give you a good run for your money. Graphics are highlighted as one of the best looking games for our generation. To be fair I have to give this title 4 out of 5

I had never played a Kingdom hearts game before, so my only expectation was to play alongside Disney characters. The game does a great job introducing you to the game mechanics gradually instead of inundating you at the beginning. Pros: beautiful game, entertaining fights. Would be great for kids! Great for kids - not graphic at all. Good for any play style - while there’s a lot of different things to use in the fight, you can get by just fine with only needing to press a single button really fast! Cons: High number of cut scenes, confusing to jump into the story without background knowledge. DISCLAIMER: the cons listed are not necessarily reasons not to try the game - they were just my personal issues. I had never played Kingdom Hearts before, so I wasn’t aware familiar with the play style. For those like me, there are a lot of cut scenes. Like, A LOT. This isn’t necessarily a reason not to play, though, as the cut scenes are usually cute / fun / informative. Plus, I’m a Disney Nerd so I enjoyed the way the characters were used. The other issue is not knowing what is going on for most of the early gameplay. Going from 0 background knowledge to jumping late into the continuing story, I had to do a lot of Googling to learn who was who and what I missed. I haven’t finished the game yet, so there might still be future cut scenes that would explain what I don’t know.

The story is totally beyond comprehension if you haven't played the other games in the series, but the gameplay and graphics are the best of the series. Square Enix posted videos online summarizing the story leading up to Kingdom Hearts III. I would recommend watching them to get a general idea of what is happening.

I'm only somewhat familiar with the Kingdom Hearts franchise through briefly playing (but never completing) some of the previous games, but I had been looking forward to this one. It is obvious the game was clearly developed with Japanese as the main language and some of the dialog and character animations reflect this. The intro scene is very awkward with this, but it does improve later. The gameplay is a blast and some scenes look like they are straight out of a Pixar movie. The amount of detail and care put in to some of the locations and characters is very impressive. I'd recommend this game to any RPG fan (the game does include some videos to catch newcomers up with the story).

For someone who has never played KH ( besides the first half of the first one) this game is very nostalgic for me and that’s not a bad thing. However if I had two nitpick I would definitely say that the throws a lot at you at first which is not a bad but it’s just annoying at and second they need to fix the frame rate. I’m playing on Xbox One X and it fluctuates between 50 and 60fps. Now does hinder the experience? No but I would like them to address for the future. But overall it’s fun the gameplay is good plus it has one of the best soundtracks I’ve heard in a very long time and the story is not bad from what I can understand anyways haha. So in summary if you like Disney and enjoy the typical Japanese story telling of “through the power of friends we can do anything” then this the game for you.

Kingdom Hearts III arrives, and it was well worth the wait! Many KH fans rejoice as Kindom Hearts III has recently been released and it won't disappoint fans of old and new to the series! The story and graphics are all amazing quality and this game in my opinion has surpassed the Final Fantasy series based on their recent disappointing releases. The action turned based RPG works flawlessly and I love the new Magic and Summon abilities as well as wide variety of equipment, items, and weapons to choose and upgrade to personalize your characters! This game is a must add to any RPG fan's collection and a must experience as well!

Great combat albeit a convoluted story

The combat has been expanded to offer more diversity. The addition of Disney park rides as summons is a great touch and they light up the screen with vibrant colors as well. Keyblades that can form shift, new triple and team attacks and combat give the fighting a much more diverse style of gameplay than simple button mashing. The story is still very convoluted with tons of characters to keep track of, even for someone who has played all of the games it is very hard to follow and understand. The new Disney worlds are still a blast to visit and fight alongside your favorite characters.

This is the final game in the Kingdom Hearts series. It's animated really well and the gameplay is a lot of fun. If this is the first game of the series that you've played, then don't expect to know what is going on story-wise. Heck, I've played Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, and still don't know what's going on. Other than the story, the graphics are amazing and gameplay is a lot of fun and varied. I'm still working my way through the game, but I'm enjoying it and my kids like watching me play it because it deals with lots of characters that they know.

(Never played the other games before it) This game is so cheesy that as a grown man, I have to turn the volume down and cover my windows to not let my neighbors see me as I fight demon spawn pokemon looking things with the help of Micky & *friends* (the asterisks = flowers). There are a lot of cut scenes, which adds to the individual Disney worlds you'll explore- however I find myself not really caring about the actual Kingdom Hearts "world" (so far). The evil character all have funny confusing odd names w/ silly haircuts, they might as well be called Xerox, Equador, etc. Game is also TOO easy, and some powers are OP. I have to purposely turn off XP gain and use some abilities in their "hardest" difficulty. Due to this, I don't find myself using items or other boosts ever, which would be signficantly more OP. So why the 5 stars you say? Well, despite not caring about the Story's end point, it's the adventure to get there visiting these nostalgic Disney worlds and meeting the characters there. The boss fights are awesome, and the fighting mechanics really add variability depending on your sword key. There are abilities or specials with other characters that are really awesome to do. The animation is really great, and enjoy just how different it is compared to other games. There is quite a lot of content in here, and offer minigames that other people would like. This game might not be for everyone, but I have an open mind to this kinda stuff - and for entertainment - I have been entertained.

This game is like picking up a very complicated, very hard to follow Disney movie - where you love the characters, love the design, love the action sequences, love the animation - and can't look away, but yet you love what you are watching. That's what this game is. It's a ton of fun, very memorable music, great gameplay and a joy to play - yet I still don't know what's going on...

I've owned a few of the Kingdom Hearts games but never got that far into any of them. This is the first one that I've put in over 20 hours into and have had a blast with it. The increased fidelity and unique story line in the Disney universe are great even if you haven't played any of the past entries. Highly recommended game.

Just started, but I already love what they've done with the game. I'm curious to see what additions they've made to keep the content fresh. Kingdom Hearts was never the most challenging series, but it's always a blast to play through, and that's what I enjoy from it. I'm so happy they put it out for the Xbox this time, too.

This is definitely the Kingdom Hearts that you know and love! The combat remains just as fun and engaging as ever. There are tons of new Disney based locales to explore, including Frozen and Toy Story, and the graphics have received a shiny new coat to take advantage of modern hardware. It's the full package and I strongly recommend fans of the series and newcomers pick this entry up asap...just don't play it for the story. LOL
