I love this thermometer! It's really easy to use and takes the temperature so quickly, that the first time I did it I thought, "that's it? did I get it?" And sure enough after a few more tries at the same reading, it did! It's super fast, and I love how it tracks the temperature through the app so I could go to my kids' pediatrician with accurate temperatures and when I took them. I can't wait to dive into more of the functionality, but thankfully, my kids have been well since it was sent to me by the Weespring Parent Panel. I appreciate the opportunity to try it, and it's a great alternative to having to take a temperature other, more invasive, ways.

Using this thermometer has been really great so far. The best feature is definitely how FAST it takes a temperature - very important when you have a squirmy, curious 17 month old wondering what you're doing! It's very intuitive to use - so much so that my daughter was trying to take MY temperature. Its awesome that it connects to an app on my iPhone, so you can keep track of your child's history. We had a received a forehead thermometer when our daughter was born, but the Kinsa has quickly transitioned into our main thermometer. I recommend this product. When I failed at using a forehead thermometer, I knew there must be something better. Enter the Kinsa Ear thermometer. I was shocked at how quick and easy it is, just stick it in the ear and press the button. I love how it tells you right on the display the temperature and if it's a fever. I love how the app tracks the temperature so I can know when it started and when it got better. I recommend this to all new moms! Just read the instructions so you know where to point it.

We got the Elmo Kinsa Smart Thermometer on Clearance when Babies R Us closed. The kids loved that it looked like Elmo, and it made them much more willing to have their temperature taken. It is our most reliable, and user friendly thermometer. The app is great, and I love that I can keep track of past temperatures for individual kids. It's great for big families because you can create individual profiles for each family member. I highly recommend this thermometer.

This thermometer is accurate and so easy to use on kids because it is instant! The app is nice but I usually use it without the app since my kids didn't have other symptoms to track besides fever, but I love that you can track several individuals' fevers within it. I used to use a forehead thermometer that I'd need to swipe several times and get a few different readings and then take the average. This ear thermometer gets it right the first time - thank you! I had a chance to review the Kinsa ear thermometer as part of the weeSpring parent panel. My oldest son had a sore throat and felt warm so I took his temp. The Kinsa thermometer made this super easy. All you have to do is put the piece in the ear and press the button. It beeps and then the app tells you the reading and also offers tips to help soothe your child. Super impressive! No more squirmy kid waiting for the beep and I love how you can log the details on each family member . Would definitely recommend!!

I've probably had a half dozen thermometers for my kids over the years, and this is hands-down the best I've ever used. What I love about it: - It's incredibly fast; it's virtually an instantaneous read (especially helpful when taking the temperature of a squirmy kid). - I found it to be highly accurate; I tried it with a sick kid over the weekend and used it alongside our "regular" ear thermometer. More often than not, the Kinsa gave me a slightly higher read, and with an ear thermometer, I always trust my highest reading because it can be hard to get it angled properly into the ear. - It doesn't have those annoying pop-on covers that are a hassle to change (and buy more of). Instead, it comes with a little cap that snaps on for when it's not in use. Downsides: - The app was a little glitchy; I had trouble getting it to "hear" the reading I was taking. - It's not as accurate as a rectal thermometer (no ear thermometer is -- but it's a trade off I'm willing to make to avoid wrestling my toddler for regular "You feel warm, so let me check your temperature"). You probably should still have a rectal thermometer on hand that you can use if your doc wants to know EXACTLY what your kid's temperature is, with no risk of measurement error. I got an opportunity to test this product as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel, but I found it so great that it's going to be my new standard baby gift for expecting parents.

I have a toddler who has had her fair share of fevers and illnesses. That being said, we’ve tried a lot of different thermometers. This Kinsa thermometer takes temperatures ALMOST INSTANTLY – and has made taking my wiggly toddler’s temperature very easy. (The thermometer also works great on me.) Downloading the app on my iPhone was fairly easy and setting up multiple profiles was easy as well. We have tried other thermometers – rectal, temporal, oral digital, etc. – and have had mixed results. Usually, we end up taking temperatures more than once because we have been unsure of the accuracy of the results or because it took too long to work, and/or baby moved. None of these were issues with the Kinsa, and my toddler enjoyed the Sesame Street characters – complete with voices – on the app. I got a chance to try this thermometer as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel, and recommend the Kinsa ear thermometer for speed, ease of use and fun Sesame Street features for my toddler!

We adore this thermometer! I love that it stores the temps on your phone and gives advice. Both of my kids were sick last week and it was so hard to keep track of which one had which temp and when they each had had medicine and this was so helpful! Quick and accurate but the connectability with the app is what really sets it apart! Thanks to the WeeSpring Parent Panel for giving us a chance to try this out!

My child has always had a fear of anything medical- Dr visits, home care, etc. this thermometer makes things so much easier for me! The thermometer is fast and accurate- no more misreadings and necessary retakes. Which means a lot less tears in our home! I love this thermometer for many reasons. For one, it is super quick! This is very important when you have small squirmy children. Also, it comes in handy when they are asleep and you need to keep tabs on a fever. The app is really cool for tracking symptoms. I have a family of five and if we all come down with something (it usually happens that way), I can keep up with everyone seamlessly. I love that it is used in the ear as opposed to the mouth. There are so many factors such as eating or drinking that can give a false reading. The only issue I could possibly see is that if it weren't inserted in the ear far enough it would give a lower reading that would mask a true fever. I also like the back-lit screen. This is SUPER helpful when taking temperatures in the dark during the night. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this thermometer!

If you've been a parent long enough you know all too well that taking your child's temperature is one of the more daunting tasks. Not with Kinsa! This takes my little one's temperature so fast she doesn't even have time to think about crying! This is a keeper in our house now and that's saying a lot from myself being a nurse.
