Customers admire the 24" Front Control Built-In Dishwasher's quiet operation and exceptional cleaning performance, especially on tough settings. Many appreciate the added capacity from the third rack and the ease of use. While some installation challenges and longer cycle times were noted, the positive feedback on cleaning, quietness, and design outweighs these concerns.

Before purchasing this product, I spent a fair amount of time to decide which dishwasher was the best one to buy. It was worth the time reading reviews and that’s how I made my decision. Hands down…… best decision ever . I paid for the install and the crew did a fantastic job. I also purchased the separate hook up kit which was installed. They cleaned up and made sure it was ready to go. I have filled up the dishwasher 5 times now with no problems. I CANNOT believe how quiet this machine is !!! My husband asked me a few times, did you start it? I am very happy with everything. I haven’t used the top rack yet !! Clean squeaky glasses and plates and silverware . I used the Finish samples inside the unit. I highly recommend this machine. Lots of room inside. I couldn’t have picked a better dishwasher !!

We’ve had KitchenAid products before and a KitchenAid dishwasher in our previous house. They’re not cheap but you get what you pay for. I installed this myself and it took three hours. It would’ve been closer to two had I worked with another pair of hands but being a stubborn idiot I was adamant I didn’t need help. Slow and steady wins the race. The dishwasher itself cleans very well. We really only use one setting - normal + dry. It’s quiet (the sound insulation does the trick) and does easy to operate. I prefer simple operation panel and this has that. I found our previous Samsung a bit slow to respond when I pushed the buttons. This responds right away. Could have been the machine, could have been a Samsung thing. Don’t know. Either way, I like this thing. The top third rack was a new feature for us and we really like it - for jar lids, larger utensils and silverware. Being at the top of the dishwasher, it makes it a nice quick transfer to the silverware drawer at the same height in the kitchen rather than pulling out the movable silverware container. That’s fine too and bigger than previous containers. The top is a little finicky to “slide” off but it’s a not a big deal. It’s too early to see if this thing will cause problems but so far so good.

Dishwasher arrived on time and installation was completed by a Best Buy contracted 3rd party. I've only used it a couple of times so far and can confirm its super quiet. The 3rd rack is nice for larger utensils and the adjustable 2nd rack is also a nice feature. I would have given 5 stars if not for a couple of annoying things that were not explained at time of purchase. First, I've now discovered that you can NOT use the rinse cycle with the heated dry option, you have to use one of the other wash options which will make it a longer cycle to complete. Secondly, after signing up for a Best Buy Plus Membership ($49 for a year, but it did give me an extra $100 discount on the price) a free 3 month subscription to YouTube Premium was to be included. However, it was not explained that this is ONLY if you're a new subscriber to any YouTube product, which I am not, so that offer was rendered useless. I may be rambling on and nitpicking now about things that aren't totally related to the dishwasher itself, but more so Best Buy in general - it seems in the fine print this offer expires on March 2nd, 2024, which is odd because my purchase was made on March 28, 2024. Not sure why I would receive an email from Best Buy regarding this offer if it has expired. Don't be me, make sure all your questions get answered.
Here's the fine print........................ (Active My Best Buy Plus™ or My Best Buy Total™ required for free trial . Offer only available to users who are not currently YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium subscribers; have not been YouTube Premium, YouTube Music Premium, YouTube Red or Google Play Music subscribers; and have not participated in a YouTube Premium, YouTube Music Premium, Google Play Music or YouTube Red trial before. Offer must be redeemed by March 2, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. PT. A valid form of payment is required at signup, but you will not be charged until the trial period expires. 4.5/5! So far this has been a great machine, had it a little over a month and it functions great. Saying it is quiet is kind of an understatement. It is practically unnoticeable even when standing next to it. There have been times I've wondered it I forgot to turn it on since you can't hear it once you leave the kitchen. I'm taking off 1/2 a star since the "heated dry" option is always on by default. Since we primarily use plastic plates it is a little inconvenient to have to turn it off every time. But the manual says not to place anything plastic in the bottom rack when using the heated dry and I don't feel like testing that and possibly cleaning up melted plate. Otherwise I'd say if you are looking for a new machine and want something quiet I would definitely consider this one.

Very happy with the purchase. Really quiet. on the first run, I had to put my ear to the door to know it was running - I could not hear it above the ambient noise in the house. I was a little wary of one reviewers comment that you can use heated dry only on Pro cycle. However, during the purchase, the Best Buy rep confirmed heated dry can be used in all cycles. We mostly use the express wash and heated dry has always worked (see the pic of the console during a run). 3rd rack is a bonus. There is ample space in the spoon rack. Middle rack can be raised to accommodate larger utensils in the bottom rack. Overall, very satisfied with the performance so far.

My wife saw this washer at Lowes in Pittsboro and this is what we wanted. Ours had stopped working days before Christmas and we were expecting guests over the holidays. As luck would have it, they were on backorder until the end of January with both Lowes and Home Depot stores within 50 miles. On Friday night, Best Buy told us they could have one delivered and installed Monday morning.
They came through for us! It was delivered and installed as promised!
Awesome selection! This is so quiet we weren't even sure it was running (39db). We actually had to get within about a foot before hearing it running. The 3rd rack is an awesome option and it does a superb job! Thrilled!!!

I did a lot of shopping around before deciding on this dishwasher. This unit, the 204 model, has almost all of the advantages of the more expensive 404 and 604 models. In addition to saving money, what ultimately made me prefer the 204 is that it uses a standard filtration system, as opposed to the “ self cleaning” filter system in the more expensive models. From what I could gather, the standard filtration system has a higher predicted reliability. Another factor that set this unit apart from competitors is the fact that it has the controls on the front of the door, rather than on top of the door. I read enough horror stories of failures due to water getting into the controls that I decided to opt for this version.
As for performance:
1) The racks feel very solid, and glide/lock into place every time.
2) The cleaning performance, especially on the “Tough” setting, is impressive. The first couple of loads I washed, I intentionally left a larger amount of food on the dishes than I normally would— and the unit still did a great job of cleaning them.
3) The drying performance is very good, as long as you select “ heated dry”. I’m not sure how it compares to other, more expensive options, but for me it’s perfectly adequate.
All of these features are great, but what really pushed me over the edge is Whirlpool’s extensive service network in the United States. I like knowing that there are contractors who specialize in this equipment, and I also generally prefer to buy products made in the USA.
Bottom line: I’m happy with my KitchenAid!

Excellent dishwasher, incredibly quiet compared the 20 year old unit it replaced. Dishes come out clean, and much drier than with the old one. Stainless interior is very nice as well. All in all a great mid-priced option.

The washing is excellent-very clean dishes.
It does however take a couple of hours to complete the total cycle. It also has more open prongs so you have to learn to stack the dishes in a different manner- You do have plenty of room for it though

The great things about this. 1. Multiple choices in cylces. 2. Tells me if the dishes are clean. 3. So quiet. I seriously do not hear it. 4. Racks are deeper. I can fit dinner plates side by side without them touching. 5. The ability to drop the center tray down to allow for bigger bowls is awesome. 6. Extra rack for silverware is nice, I do like being able to remove the silverware holder and take it to the drawer to unload.
The Bad - 1. There does seem to be some issues with drying completely. The top rack is usually still a tiny bit wet and I think it drips to other areas. But it's not horrible and not something that would make me give it back.

I was leary about a KitchenAid dishwasher but this one is fantastic. Our home is open concept and I wanted a dishwasher that was quiet so we didn’t hear it when watching tv only a short distance away. You cannot hear this dishwasher at all. It also cleans very well.

After first wash cycle unit performed very well. However, didn’t seem to clean as well with liquid dishwasher soap. Pods work the best

Had a bit of a problem getting this delivered so ended up picking it up at another store. It was fairly easy to install, had my son do it for me. It’s so quiet sometimes I have to look to see if it is running. No complaints or issues. Works great.

I had a KitchenAid dishwasher for years. It finally started having issues after 40 years so I can’t really complain. I tried other brands but for the money the KitchenAid outshines them all. Super quiet and the controls on the front make it easy to see what going on so you don’t have to open the door to find out what the dishwasher is doing. Love the brand so much I bought two for my renovation

The sound level is very quiet, and sound was my primary criteria.
I am disappointed to find there is a 'dripping front vent upon opening after a cycle' issue. (reported by many)
But the quiet (compared to the previous washer) makes the drips worth it.
