Terrible design and nothing but trouble from the first month on.

Can't review because dishwasher did not work after installation.

It's so quiet we had to bend over to see if it was even running. We put a full load in and the dishes cam out totally clean better than the our old one. KitchenAid is the best.

Love the look, easy to install, quiet and cleans the dishes well!

Delivered 2 months ago and still waiting for repair

I hesitate to give 5 stars, but 4 wouldn't be fair to this darn near flawless dishwasher! Installed by Best Buy Delivery one month ago. Requires getting used to the different height setups and standard issues with making sure the wands can spin when loaded etc. The 3rd rack is great when needed. The smooth-glide drawers are the BEST. So much smoother than any of the other brands. Cleans my dishes completely but does take a long time depending on the cycle. Very aesthetically pleasing. I really like being able to raise/lower the upper rack. That is a very handy feature. Highly recommend this model. Was somewhat expensive but Best Buy customer service used a coupon code from my email to give me 10% off so that made it slightly less expensive. If I had it to do over again, I would more than likely pick the exact same dishwasher. Go into the nearest Best Buy or appliance shop and "feel" the merchandise. You should be able to tell the quality difference just by opening and shutting doors & sliding baskets in/out. Ultimately that's how a landed on this model in particular. And Best Buy gave me the best price!

I had a GE Triton before the Kitchenaid and was use to washing the dishes before the dishwasher would "clean" my dishes. Huge waste of time! My GE dishwasher finally died a leaky death. I researched the Whitlpool, Bosch and KitchenAid. Landed on this KitchenAid. Wow, you can simply scrape off food particles and place in dishwasher, NO Pre-Washing, of course use common sense and make sure no chunky food in on the plate as there is not a built in garbage disposal and large food chunks could clog the machine. But, dried on egg yolk and melted cheese comes off every time! Glasses have NO detergent residue!!!!! 1st time ever experience for me with a dishwasher! Usually, I had this funky white haze. Dried on milk on the bottom of a 20oz. Milk crusted Glass comes clean without a problem. This machine is awesome!!!!! I use the pro setting and it is super quiet, too!!! I cannot hear it running unless I am right next to it and touch the front to feel the slight vibration of the water whirling inside. Buy it! It is expensive; but, truly worth the $$$.

Over the past 20 years, I've owned many different brands of dishwashers, from Bosch to Wolf and this has been the quietest. If this is a major criteria for your needs, as it was mine, it's worth the price.

I just had this dishwasher delivered a few days ago and it is one sturdy machine! You can barely hear this dishwasher running and it was highly needed. I have a galley style kitchen that is open to my dining room and living room, and the previous machine was so loud. This effectively cleans the dishes while providing the masculine look and silent operation I was looking for.

This washer is so quiet that we can scarcely tell that it is running. Lots of options for stacking the dishes within. Get things very clean. Nice sleek appearance. (We bought the stainless model - it looks great)

We wanted a quiet washer for our open floor plan (kitchen shared with living room) and originally bought model KDTM404ESS. Rated 46db, I found it to be noisy (motor hum) and then it died a week later. Bought this model instead, and it’s working great so far: dishes are clean, dries well, and most of all very quiet. At 39db, it’s a really quiet performer. Yes, it doesn’t have some of the features of KDTM404ESS, but I’m not missing any of them. And less moving parts means fewer repairs. I’m subtracting one star because it did have a small slow leak by the lower left bottom door, but I attribute this to the not quite level installation from BestBuy. I leveled off the machine (wheels weren’t placed at the same height), and no more leak at the moment, but will keep an eye on it.

After much research, I chose this Kitchenaid model KDTE254ESS to replace our 10 year old Bosch. We used it for 1 week. It's performance was good. Not spectacular. Just before Thanksgiving it decided not to complete a wash cycle and gave us a blinking light. We attempted to cancel, drain and reset the machine. After flipping the breaker we got it to drain but still the blinking light. We looked for solutions in the user manual and online but had no success. The dishwasher is unusable. A service call has been placed. We'll see what happens.

Just love the the third rack Quite and does a super job cleaning dishes

I went into Best Buy thinking I would spend under $500 for a dishwasher. I bought this one for $900 because I was told of its cleaning capabilities. So far I'm impressed. It is extremely quiet. The buttons aren't what I'm used to but I'll adjust. Geek Squad did an awesome job installing and they were very clean. Didn't land a mess. They made sure I knew how to use it and gave some great tips.

We have owned this dishwasher for about 5 years and are in the process of replacing it. It is quiet and, for the first couple of years, did a good job cleaning. After 2 or 3 years, plastic parts started breaking, especially the top rack rollers and the parts connecting the rollers. The rollers would break off, causing the rack to sag and eventually fall. I have replaced them twice, requiring the purchase and shipment of after-market replacement parts, I've spent over $100 on that. Unfortunately, the sagging and continued problems with the top rack eventually have resulted in something being wrong with the connection between the top rack and the water supply, such that the top rack doesn't clean at all no matter what we do. It feels like for the price point this should last longer than 5 years. We are moving on to a new brand.

Very Quiet, nice looking, great ball bearing rack slides. But that's where it ends. Top of the line price but, no food disposer on this unit, so be ready to clean the filter regularly, and make sure you get it back in correctly or it will ruin the pump.The drying function does not dry. The dishes are almost always wet when they come out, but I could live with that. The real killer is reliability. Three service calls within the first two years. (The first was warranty) The last was when the touch pad decided it would only work sometimes. This is the second Kitchen Aid DW we have replaced due to failed keypad/ control board. Trying a GE next, hoping for better luck!

Dishwasher works very well. Delivery was on time and setup was easy. Would recommend this product and Brand.

Great dishwasher with many options. Cleans dishes and pot well.

Despite having a heating element this machine does not dry the dishes or even its interior. The interior (and the dishes) stay dripping wet. Sadly, in an effort to make dishwashers more "efficient" they have reduced its ability to actual wash and dry.
