Q: Does this dishwasher have a built in hard food disposal? I was told it did , I was just wandering because of the fact I still have to clean out the filter. Thanks:-)

A: I don't think it does. There is still a filter in the bottom of washer that is removable. I've only had it a week so I'm still figuring things out. I love it so far! Extremely quiet! Don't even know when its on!

Q: Hi. does the bottom rack of this dishwasher slide all the way out (where it could slide onto floor--if one pulled on it too hard? OR does the bottom rack STOP at the edge of the dishwasher? THanks!

A: It stops. At least that works However, I've had mine for less than a week. I bought this because it has a heating element, which is very important to me. I hear about the new energy efficient dishwashers leaving your dishes damp. Well, this one leaves my dishes soaking wet, a big puddle on the inside of the door and condensation and a wet film on every side and bottom of the basin. Instructions say to used jet dry solution which I did. A tech is coming to look at it this weekend. They said that shouldn't be happening. However, I have seen many complaints online from others having the same experience. Let's hope they fix it or I'm returning it. I paid extra for that feature!

Q: How much does best buy charge for installing a dishwasher? It is an.under counter kind.

A: Best Buy charges about $120 for installation in my area. KitchenAid recently had a promotion going with Best Buy, where not only was delivery free, but so was the installation. That's when I bought mine.

Q: Will this dishwasher sanitize my dishes?

A: This will have a sanitation cycle.

Q: The handle is round stainless steel and protrudes apox 3". Is there a replacement that is more like a tapered handle. Like the ones that have been around the last 10 years. I would prefer this to match my other appliances. Thanks

A: If you go into the store you may be able to special order it that way. I was offered that as an option at a different store when I bought mine. I bought from best buy though because the price, warranty and installation were better. They might be able to do it as well if you go in store. FYI this is a really great dishwasher.... So quite that the light is the only way to know it is running.

Q: Is the door magnetic?

A: The stainless steel is magnetic.
