    Don’t buy this dishwasher

This dishwasher repeatedly broke down and it was very difficult getting service. The control panel had to be replaced after one month and it broke AGAIN after three months. WE ASKED FOR A REPLACEMENT AND KITCHEN AID DID NOT ANSWER OUR REQEST. This experience ruined our previously favorable impression of Kitchen Aide.

    Look Before They Leave...

Having purchased this dishwasher almost a week ago, I wish that I could actually review this dishwasher's performance, but I unfortunately have no idea how it performs. What I can say about my BestBuy purchase is that I am not at all satisfied with Best Buy's customer service. When my husband tried to install it, he found that it was badly damaged, apparently being dropped at some point along the way. The bottom back of the dishwasher was severely bent in places, and actually broken in other places... I expected a better response from Best Buy customer service; (I actually work in customer service myself.) I expected them to do whatever it took to make it right, but what I got was no expedited delivery, no free installation...not even an apology. Their response was indifferent at best; I guess this is something they deal with a lot, and once they have your money, they couldn't care less. This is not an inexpensive dishwasher. I will think twice before doing business with Best Buy in the future; next time, I'll take my business to a smaller, local appliance store who will actually appreciate my business. If you are having anything delivered, do your due diligence and inspect it thoroughly before the delivery guys leave.

After prolonged research finally settled on this model. Best Buy Pacific Kitchen and Home as usual made purchase and install schedule a breeze. Install went well, but within few days my unit started leaking from the left side in front and under (getting far worse now). Also every few washes it would stop in the middle of cycle. After restart it would complete. Called Geek Squad. Will update review when and if they fix it. If not, I will be getting Bosch and KA is going back to BB.

Well the unit turns on then it starts the washing process then starts going crazy. The lights start blinking like crazy and the unit just seems to freeze. What cleaning does start happening seems amazing. Hope the Kitchenaid service is amazing too...

Six years max life for me. I was hoping ften years

Broken after six years, I call a service tech from Kitchen Aid and I was told a new board for $300 is needed plus labor. I sent him away and researched on the fault I was getting. It was a broken piece of glass stuck in the water pump. I removed that, and I was back in business for about six months. Now the lock light is on. I’ve tried everything to unlock the UI iwith no success. I think it's a wrap now on this dishwasher. Lifespan is six Years two months.

    Had to Replace New Unit

After reading a lot of reviews, I bought this unit and was very excited for ultimate dish cleaning with little to no effort from me. However, when trying to use it I found that it didn't clean at all and the elite drying capabilities didn't work either. I am now waiting for a new unit and am once again hoping for the best. Before buying it, I did notice that the same issue happened to other people and once they got their replacement, they were happy with it. There does seem to be a good number of "lemons" so good luck on your next purchase

This dishwasher is never DRY!!!! We have to hand dry all the dishes even if we let it sit a full day. Actually it's still wet inside the door right this minute. Sending it back. It does clean the dishes well with even being well rained. We use the correct detergent and rinse aid.

    Quiet, but that's it.

So quiet you'll never know it's on....that is until you step in the puddle from the leaking door. Less than 30 days in, it started leaking from the door. The door doesn't seem to fully close even though it closes enough to turn on and seemingly stay latched. Washes great, dries average at best. Leaves 2" of water in the sump. I have a high loop to prevent that but still leaves water in the sump. Capacity wasn't great. Family of 4 had to run 3 loads a week. 3rd rack was annoying, only good for flat utensils. Ladels, spoons, tongues all get caught. The top rack was adjustable but at lowest setting the plates on the bottom would prevent the jets from spinning. So forget about cups taller than a beer pint glass. Returned it for the new Bosch 800 series.

This dishwasher is trash with a big name attached

I had high hopes for this dishwasher but Kitchen Aid left me very unsatisfied. Not only do I feel like this product is way over priced for what you get, it is honestly a chunk of plastic with a polished off stainless steel door. My husband and I bought this dishwasher brand new and immediately had issues. The handle is wobbly and unsteady. The 'fancy' touch pad seems to never work, you have to keep pressing/adjusting your finger while praying to the heavens for it to just turn on. I am almost positive this washer picks and chooses when it wants to clean my dishes. I was very excited about the third rack and used it almost every wash cycle then, low and behold the plastic cap broke off one of the rails and it refused to slide out at all. Other pieces of plastic started to come unhinged as well, I still have no idea where or what part they even came from. I will never buy a Kitchen Aid product again. With installment this washer came out to $1150 and I haven't even had it for a year. Biggest waste of money I've ever spent.

    Poor design, and yes, Loud

The wash cycle for this dishwasher was only slightly less loud than our 50db Bosch. We could hear it at the other end of the house. That is not quiet as is described. When draining it would start and stop several times. Over and over and over. It sounded like it couldn't make up its mind when starting. It would stop and start again. All this is audible and very annoying. To top it off, you cannot tell, from the outside, where the machine is in the cycle. No indication display. Only when it is silent do you know that it must be drying. Hmmm. We didn't like how dishes went in the dishwasher like the Bosch, and usually the dishes just fell over onto the dish next to it. Very poor design. And we are told that all that starting and stopping is normal.

    Piece of junk

Very disappointing! Had 2-3 years and upper rack has broken in two different places, causing rack to sag and not support dishes or allow door to close. Don't use plastic parts if they are going to break off. Further, does not clean dishes well, often have to end up washing by hand. Drying always leaves water on top of dishes on top rack. For what I paid, totally poor performance!

After 6 years - this dishwasher works fine - only problem is it leaked from the motor, and destroyed my floor, and cabinets - IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF IT JUST QUIT WORKING INSTEAD OF DESTROYING MY KITCHEN Gary Akridge 954-540-018
