Dishwasher is very quiet and cleans everything very well.

My old dishwasher was very quiet so this one had to go a ways to beat it. It is rated at 39 dB, one of the quietest available (44 is considered very quiet). Unfortunately it is so quiet I have to put my ear against the door to confirm that it is starting. It does a great job washing and drying. I thought my old Viking was much easier to load plates and held held them in place better. I like the multiple racks and the top drawer for things like tongs and spatulas. I am hoping that it is a reliable machine because our family really puts it through more duty cycles than average since we cook so much at home. KitchenAid is rated slightly below average in reliability compared to the national brands but I love the looks which come close to matching my all Viking stainless kitchen.

Wow, better then we were expecting. Never thought I would be this excited about a dishwasher, but it cleans great, super quite, great design and it's great that all the buttons are on top so my child can't touch them.

Beautiful dishwasher! It's unbelievably quiet. I forget it's running. Lots of room for odd sized utensils et. It's a very well thought out design. Handle design saves fingerprints. I can't imagine anything better.

Very easy to learn to use. Very good job cleaning everything.

Very quiet. I don't notice when it is running. Very spacious. Has a good layout to load everything you need to onto it. Top tray is excellent to share knifes to lay flat and or other long utensils.very sleek look.

I love this dishwasher! It is the quietest dishwasher i have ever owned. I purchased new appliances for a new house and selected Kitchenaid for it's sleek appearance and had owned one before. They have made improvements on it's cleaning ability and noise reduction. I am very happy to recommend this dishwasher.

We are very satisfied with the Kitchenaid Dishwasher KDTE254ES. I installed it myself, not difficult. Came with water and electrical connections ready to go. It is very quiet, essentially can not hear it at all. Cleans very well. Takes twice as long to run through a cycle as our previous 15-yr old dishwasher due to how the newer units are designed. While the interior construction is stainless steel, there is still lots of plastic which does not heat up, consequently holding lots of moisture at the end of the cycle. I have found that it is best to open the door after the cycle has ended and let the hot dishes and flatware dry off from evaporation. Anything plastic does not dry, has to be wiped with a towel.

Works great! Fits a lot of dishes and the 3rd rack is perfect for baking tools. The dishes come out spotless and dry. It is sooo quiet, that I forget it is even on. I highly recommend this dishwasher.

Extremely quite looks awesome drawers slide in and out very easy. This was the best dishwasher i took 2 weeks to decide went to 5 different stores this was the first one i saw that i wanted but wanted to make sure because it is very expensive but worth it!!!!!

I read several reviews where people complained about the long cycle time, and they are correct. The normal wash cycle is probably much longer than a mid-low level dishwasher, but why would you arrange your day so that you are waiting on your dishwasher? We've had this installed for nearly two months and I really can't find anything to fuss about. This dishwasher is amazingly quiet. Hard boiling eggs on the stove is unbelievably louder than this washer. The advanced features are great. The rack adjustability is well designed. Door hinges and handle are solid.

Did my extensive homework as usual about this product vs. others prior to going into the store. Went to the local store in Sarasota and was trailed by the asssociate whom I had to ask for help from. He had NO idea about the machine, and steered me to other brands. Specific questions asked by me were ignored or completely wrong. dimbulb. Took a pic of the machine/price/model number etc. and vowed to myself not to come back. Went to HD (higher price) but they could not delver for 2 weeks. waited over night to calm down and went back tp BB. Price jumped $250 ?!? New dimbumb asssociate would not ask the supervisor to accept previous night's price. Left the store, and called the mgr immediately and pointedly and painfully explained the re-train his asssociate needed in manners. I didn't ever demand the old price, but asked. He agreed and said they would honor the original price. Came back to the store and was met by store mgr. I asked "are you a man of your word?" he said 'yes'. 10 minutes later we walked out of there with paperwork in hand. Two day delivery....and I even bought the extended warranty because he made it right. ...oh yeah....the dishwasher is working flawlessly.

I purchased this dishwasher from the Best Buy store after my previous dishwasher (a different brand) continued to fail leaving a tub filled with water. I asked my favorite Geek Squad technition what brand he recommended and he said "Whirlpool" or "Kitchen Aid" (by Whirlpool). I choose Geek Squad protection for 5 years this time (highly recommended) and the top of the line Kitchen Aid (also highly recommended). This dishwasher is so quiet we have to look to see if lights are on to know that it's running. This is also the first dishwasher I've seen with a third rack at the top for stirring spoons and spatulas. You can also tell high quality by the smooth in and out movement of the racks.

Zero Complaints, 1 year in it still works like new. Does a great job, and I honestly usually can't tell if it is running. We run it at least 1 time per day and sometimes more. I love the fact that the controls are hidden it has a nice clean looks and matches our other KitchenAid appliances nicely. We don't use the top "extra row" very often, so I would not look for that extra feature or consider that a must have. When we do use it, we usually forget we put something there until we can't find whatever it was and think to look in the dishwasher after it has been washed 20 times.

This KitchenAid dishwasher model with 39dB is running super quiet and cleaning the dishes really good. 4 Stars because the door is crooked, maybe from the installation, so it doesn't close smoothly.

If you are looking for an extremely quiet and efficient dishwasher, choose this one! There is room for everything and forget pre washing. This machine has a setting for that.

Needed a replacement for another brand (which also makes cellphones) that was less than 3 years old. After researching and reviews decided on this brand and model. Was a little tedious setting up to install but not bad if you have some handyman skills. Once installed it was difficult to tell it was running because it was so quiet. Usually use the ProWash setting and dishes are very clean. Have used the ProScrib settings on baked on food and it cleaned it all. Haven't found any sign of mold which was a major problem with the old dishwasher we replaced. Wife likes top (3rd) tray for knives and long kitchen tools. Very happy with this machine!
