This dishwasher is so quiet it's virtually impossible to hear it (unless you literally stop every other noise making item in the house... then you might hear a "whoosh" sound every now and then). It's decibel rating is quieter than a library. The dishes come out spotless and dry, which is expected. The racks are ball bearing and roll effortlessly - to the point where both my wife and I accidentally slammed them shut (a lot nicer than our old model). The bottle washers are ideal for our household. We have 2 little kids on bottles and also have nutritional shakes daily. The bottle washers do an excellent job getting the ick out of the bottle of the bottles. Narrow-mouthed bottles never got clean in our other dishwasher. Now they don't stand a chance! The exterior of the dishwasher is clean and well-built. The hand has a nice feel to it and doesn't stick out as far as I had thought it would. The red endcaps on the handle add an extra professional flair. You can also swap these out for other colors if red just isn't your thing. It's fabulous dishwasher that is worthy of your consideration if you're looking for high quality at a reasonable price!

Good washer, but had some initial issues

I purchased this washer in Sept of last year. Initially, there were no problems but then after the fourth wash, the latch on the door would break/release and the wash cycle would be interrupted. No water got out and I had to restart the washer. This happened a couple of times. Warranty repair person came out and ordered new upper rails and a new door latch. He said that the issue was that the upper rack was not holding in and if you loaded it too heavily, the water and weight would push the door open and break the cycle. In fact, he said that there was a 'recall' on these models to fix the upper rails. I've not had a problem since they installed and fixed the upper rails with new ones. The service to fix the washer was great, they came out right away. Although, the first time they put the rails in, they were not totally put in correctly, so I still had a problem. By the third visit, everything seems good and I'm happy with the washer. For some customers, after sales service is important and they did a great job and were very responsive.

Great DW. Built like a tank, internal lights are a great feature. Does a job very, very well. Would highly recommend! Dishes are clean and dry. Picked this DW over Bosch, it's more expensive but Bosch couldn't match all whistles and bells that I wanted. Perfect filtration system, you don't have have to clean DW filter, looks much better than any 1000-1600$ dishwasher, internal LED lights, it's not as loud as my 2 year old Viking. One issue with BB.... Hey Best Buy, can you fix your website glitches?! It's impossible to login. I'm happy with my purchase, I'm super happy with Best Buy personnel, I just can't get over login problems.

Under 3 YRS LEAKED MOTOR SHOT

First, it is key to understand that KitchenAid warranty begins on date of deposit purchase. It does NOT begin on date of installation. For cleaning overall, it is not stellar, always find dishes and silverware that need to be hand-cleaned. Top silverware drawer is worthless, used it twice and learned that. It drys nicely. So in LESS THAN THREE YEARS, this incredibly expensive unit leaked all over, ruined flooring. Repairman said the motor - pump shot. Replacement part is a joke to get. Decided not worth waiting to repair after reading this problem in other reviews. LAST KITCHENAID PRODUCT WE WILL EVER PURCHASE.

Check your SKU number's and hold them to it. They say it isn't available....Then walk away. My Dishwasher dispenser is broken within the first month. Clean light stays on until you open the door... then you wonder what if.. That light won't last long. 3 rd rack is useless if you have to raise it for the main rack. Back wash system is worthless because your containers when the back tines are lowered or NOT lean to far back to get them clean. Go with AIR DRY Overall... Wash your dishes by hand.. They will be cleaner. :) DON'T BUY buy the sku 6623155!!!!$500 less with supposedly minus the garbage disposal. GO FOR IT DON''T BUY

    horrible, I don't understand

I recently moved into a house that already had this whole KitchenAid appliance package. The bottom rack of the dishwasher is too short to wash plates or large spoons/spatulas, etc!!!!! We have normal size plates. It's absurd that people spend the amount of money which the Kitchen Aid brand represents, and you can't wash normal stuff! Horrible design. Also, on a normal wash a butter knife used to cut avocado that was rinsed in the sink then immediately put in dishwasher and started was still dirty when I unloaded the machine. It is quiet, but when you have to hand-wash nearly everything because your dishes can't fit, it defeats that purpose.

    - The inside is gorgeous. Everyone is impressed by the light - The outside isn't bad but there are some sticker stains on there that still are showing residue and I have tried a ton to get them off. *fist shake at Kitchenaid* - It cleans pretty well, but I have to use a rinse aid. This is something I never had to use before with my older dish washer. If I do not use a rinse aid then I get spots. - Everything dries well with or without a rinse aid - It is quiet - It takes a couple hours to do the full blown cleaning of the dishes - There is plenty of room for everything

The top tray is a little narrow and we have a tendency to place tongs up there. The spinner caught a pair of tongs and then we had to fight to get the top tray open. Other than the top tray, I have no complaints. The ProScrub is a nice feature because it adapts to your habits. We save jars for other uses so the bottle jet is useful for us. Also, we find having an actual timer telling us how long the cycle is going to take is convenient.

After 6 years, my $1160.00 KitchenAid dishwasher is kaput due to bad motor. Last year we spent a couple hundred getting the electronic panel replaced thinking it would last at least another 6 years. Up until now I had always purchased Kitchen Aid dishwashers, My first one was from a "scratch and dent tent sale" of a local appliance store - which lasted far longer than current one that died.. I'm switching to Bosch and never again will purchase a KitchenAid dishwasher.

A good performing dishwasher with some nice extras, like lighted interior and bottle washers. One thing to beware (that we didn't see anyone mention when we read reviews) is that the motorized wash arms on the bottom of the machine make a humming noise at certain times during the wash cycle, so this is not the quietest machine. If that is a priority, you might want to look at other models.

    Terrible dishwasher

Really sorry we purchased this. My 12 year old Bosch that I replaced was far superior to this product. It is quiet except for the constant hum while running. Have to re wash at least 10% of everything I put in it. Third rack is a complete joke and nothing placed in it ever comes clean. Not happy at all with this purchase. It also accumulates a lot of foul gunk in the tub just under the door.

I purchased this dishwasher based on other reviews and WOW-I'm so happy I did. This dishwasher is a master piece. It's sleek, classy, powerful and include dynamic bells and whistles. We are super pleased with our purchase and would highly recommend this product. The grand finale is the LED lighting. It's such a nice added touch.

washes great, very clean dishes. leaves water after drying pro-cycle. was told that the glasses would be completely dry...one of the reasons for paying more for this particular model Would recommend purchasing a Kitchenaide dishwasher, but no need to spend more for these "extra" features.

Much better made than other dishwashers. Love the metal glides on ballbearings. Only criticism is the top utensil tray is not set up well and can’t really be used for silverware like the Bosch models can.

You get what you pay for and I paid a lot, but it is worth it. Cleans the dishes, nice little LED light to illuminate to inside. Bottle washer are great to have. Super quiet. I have no idea it is running. Thankfully the blue, red and white lights tell me.

My wife and I wanted to purchase something made in the USA. We are very pleased with this product, and are relieved we did not spend more on a higher end brand. The quality and look are there with KitchenAid.

Really enjoying my KitchenAid dishwasher. It was very expensive. We enjoy that when opening the dishwasher it lights up inside. Love the 3rd shelf. This is the quietest dishwasher I've ever owned! So far no problems.

I never realized how much difference a top quality dishwasher can make. Not only does everything sparkle, but the folding tines make the shelves flexible for every item in the kitchen.

Dishwasher is very quiet including when using the pro scrub mode. Wine glasses can be a problem loading and have to go on bottom rack if they have long stems.
