I had to spend numerous hours with Kitchen Aid and BestBuy but not fixed even after 2 weeks of installation. Overall, the product does not look worthy of the money you are paying. There is not much difference between such an expensive cooktop and a $500-$600 cooktop. I do not recommend Pacific Sales or KitchenAid.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.nice looking cooktop but cant get the burners to get hot enough. adjusted them, even bought a new regulator and it still takes 10 minutes to boil water. finally took the regulator apart and put some washers in it to get the flame up to a decent temp but when you do that then the low setting is to high.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my 30” with this 36” and after having the larger opening cut out and installed I realized that my unit didn’t have the burner caps. Bestbuy was amazing to deal with up front but good luck speaking to anyone on the phone when you call. I went back to the store and they made the calls to get the parts needed but said it would take 7 to 10 days?? Have been doing a lot of carry out and cooking on my grill. I would think that Kitchenaid would have better customer service on a packing mistake but what do I know??

IT WAS AS IF THEY RAN OUTOF INK. BEST BUY WOULD NOT HELP AT ALL IN THIS SITUATION. HAD TO CALL THE FACTORY AND THEY SENT OUT A TECHNICIAN. HE SAYS IT WILL 8 WEEKS UNTIL HE CAN GET A REPLACEMENT TOP PANEL. BEST BUY IS TERRIBLE! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON EXISTENT.

We replaced out 28 year old KitchenAid cooktop ( served us well), with this cook top. The 5 burners and heat capacity caused everything we cook to burn; literally! So why am I so high on this product? We cooked Thanksgiving dinner, 3 cooks, with one working burner. Once this cooktop was installed (4 attempts but that’s another story), we didn’t know or appreciate the fire power of this appliance. We turned our backs and things that normally took 20 minutes to do were done in half the time. It was crazy! Literally all the dishes had to be salvaged leaving burnt bottoms to be scraped later. We never had so much fun cooking Christmas dinner! So, for those who love to cook and need fire power, this is the cooktop for you. Enjoy!

You need to keep it very clean, though. This is our second one. We moved. First one was a downdraft, but essentially the same. I left some salt on it for a few days and it caused pitting. So, clean up after every use. Don’t forget.

I have just started using it - so can't say about long run but I have owned previous version of this same 36" Kitchenaid cooktop for past few years and that worked great. I was remodeling the kitchen so decided to go with latestversion. This one is quite stylish.
