Nice simple blender. The lid is super hard to put on or take off for myself but even harder for a older person. The cup is plastic not sure if it will hold a drop. Bought it for my grandma let see if she likes it. We haven't tried it yet.

I've been looking for a versatile blender that would work for me in my new RV. I've had this unit for a little while now and this past week, I took with me on a camping trip and it worked perfectly for me. I was able to use the personal blender jar to prepare a protein smooth for after biking. The way this blender liquifies fruits, I was able to create a silky smooth tasty drink. Later that evening I was able to make adult beverages and the K150 chewed through the ice and Made perfect blended drinks. I'm so happy to have this versatile, well made blender. It will be traveling with me on many more trips. Easy to use, and pleasing to look at. This is a great buy!!

KitchenAid is a trusted name, a brand that has stood the test of time when it comes to small home appliances. This K150 3-Speed Ice Crushing Blender lives up to that standard. It is a well-made, quality blender, that not only performs terrifically, but also looks great - classic, yet modern. The blending pitcher is made from thick, yet lightweight, plastic. Almost as good as glass. The main lid itself has a smaller ‘twist to open & close’ cap, which covers the “feeding opening” so you don’t have to take off the main lid every time you want to add in more ice or ingredients. So that’s really convenient, and actually cuts down on the mess. This KitchenAid K150 comes with not one, but two, ‘Blend and Go’ personal blender jars along with their own blade attachment, so you can create delicious smoothies, shakes, protein drinks, etc. right in the travel beverage container. Good stuff! The quality of the plastic used in these drink jars is the same as that of the blending pitcher. Now as for how well this KitchenAid does its job? Awesomely! I was so impressed with how quick, easy, and thoroughly this blender performed. You can literally see how the blades fold together the ingredients - be it crushed ice, fruits, small chopped pieces of veggies, milk, juice, etc etc etc. My smoothies were blended evenly, with no irregular chunks of ice. All it took was a bit of experimenting in order to use the optimal amount of blending power to get the liquid consistency just the way I wanted it. Then, let the ‘yum’ begin! *Remember: Be careful assembling/disassembling, cleaning - those blades are SHARP!* The one real “Con” I have is that the only instructions included were a simple ‘quick start guide’ which was printed on the cardboard end flaps of the box the blender came packaged in. And they were very, very basic. If you want to view complete instructions (and videos), you are directed to go online. This really really bugs me when products do this. It’s much more helpful to have a user’s manual to read over and refer back to when needed, instead of having to scroll through a webpage or PDF. Overall, a quality blender, befitting the KitchenAid brand name. Its main ‘claim to fame’ is the ice crushing capability. But this K150 3-Speed Blender can do so much more. Just be aware, this blender does have its limitations compared to its more “powerful” counterparts in the KitchenAid line. However, I am beyond pleased with mine and can definitely recommend this small kitchen appliance.

As a long time connoisseur of crushed ice (yes, really) I was extremely excited to try out a blender whose top claim is to crush ice in less than 10 seconds and that can “Achieve the ideal taste, texture, and consistency with the unique asymmetric blade blends at four distinct angles to pull ice in to the center for the ultimate crushing”. That’s quite a claim and I’m here to say that those are not just empty words, this thing delivers! My first attempt at crushing ice yielded something akin to snow! We made some kinda sorta snow cones. Pouring concentrated kool aid over the white crushed ice. It was sooooo good! Then I tried the main thing I use my blender for, a fruit smoothie, and again we have a winner. It yielded an incredibly smooth and delicious refreshing drink. The personal sized containers for blending smaller single servings are fantastic. Perfect sized for me, easy to blend and take on the go as they even fit in my cars beverage holders. With 2 smaller containers and a larger typical sized pitcher to chose from you’ll simply have options that most blenders don’t offer. All in all, this thing is awesome. If I could give it 6 stars I would. It is the best ice crushing blender I have ever had the pleasure of using. Not just the quality of the blending but also the speed with which it completes its task. I think we are going to have to try some fresh margaritas next! I love this device and absolutely would recommend this to a friend.

I am really impressed with this blender. The base seems so sturdy. Even the switch appears to be high quality. While it is sturdy, the changes from one speed to another are so smooth. The ice/pulse mode makes it simple to crush ice. And, this blender has absolutely no trouble crushing ice. Whether you want a course chop or a fine snow for snow cones, it is ready for the task. Smoothies are so easy to make with the personal jars. The lids are easy to screw on and off and they seal tight to not spill when taking a sip. The opening is also big enough to allow thick liquids to flow. My only complaint is that the lids do not have a way of closing that opening. While it would make cleaning more difficult, I prefer to be able to totally seal the lid to be able to put the jar in a bottle holder on my backpack. As is, that would be challenging. When it comes to cleaning, everything but the base and the main blender jar are dishwasher safe. One of my favorite details of the personal jar blade is that they made drain holes in the plastic to prevent dishwasher water from pooling in it. That was my biggest complaint with my previous blender. The water would just pool in it and be disgusting. KitchenAid seems to truly think out these little details. Overall, I would highly recommend this blender to friends. It seems to be well worth the price.

This little KitchenAid 3 speed blender is all I need for my smoothies and it is small enough to leave out on my counter. And that’s convenient for daily use. Just fill the individual jar with your ingredients of choice, screw on the blending blades, flip it over and insert into the blender base. I would suggest some liquid of some type (I used almond milk & yoghurt) with frozen fruit. The blades did get stuck before I added the almond milk and I also had to remove it a couple times to shake it up and down. Then I just placed the blender on setting 2 and let it do its job. I ended up with a nicely blended blueberry smoothie that was fantastic! And I was able to drink it right out of the blending jar. That makes cleanup so much easier!! This KitchenAid blender comes with 2 jars and a blending container that I think is 48 oz - smaller than those giant blenders, which is great for me. I will use this as my regular blender. I’ve seen some that are humongous and have several accessories and are so confusing to operate with so many choices. This is simple by design: pulse, and 3 speeds (and off). One word of warning: the blades are extremely sharp! First thing I did while unboxing was to stab my thumb with a jar blade. Ouch! Quick bandaid and I moved-on. Just be careful. I would recommend this blender for its simplicity and ease of use.

Today I am reviewing kitchenAid’s K150 Blender First thing you’ll notice when you pull out this blender from the box is it’s weight, it’s not super heavy but it’s not light either, that’s a good thing, it tells me that it’s sturdy and heavy duty when it comes to blending. The second thing you will notice from this particular model is how simple it is, one dial in the front, 3 speeds, and one pulse setting, that’s it, as simple as it can get. If you want more intricate settings or options, this blender might not be for you but for everyone else it’s just right. The blender itself has plenty of power, it’ll blend and eventually liquify everything you place in there. This particular model comes with two personal blender jars, and the required adapter to be able to fit the blender jars to the base. Perfect for a quick, easy on the go smoothies. In conclusion, this is a no-frills kitchen blender, perfect for people that just want to keep things simple.

The Kitchen Aid K150 is a cost-effective means to make smoothies like you never had before. It chops the ice up to a fine consistency. It comes with two cups and make less noise than my last one. The clean up is a breeze, a well thought out design. The unit goes well in the modern kitchen. I would recommend to family and friends.
