Very enjoyable movie to watch. You cannot download the digital edition into iTunes. I do not like that all as I have over 200 movies in iTunes. I will never rent movies from Vudu. I watch a movie in the theater and if I really enjoy it then I will purchase it for later viewing. Sometimes if I cannot make it to the the theater, I will purchase the movie. I never rent movies.

Fun monster rock em sock em. Very good 3d although no Atmos track on the 3d disc. On the 2d disc there is an Atmos track which is excellent and more powerful and immersive than the DTS master track. This steelbook was the best value as it also came with a uhd disc, but I can not comment on that as I am not uhd ready.

I didn't see Kong: Skull Island at the theater, but my kids wanted the DVD, so we bought it at our local Best Buy. I'm not usually a fan of "monster movies" but this one had an awesome story line and believable characters. The extras on the DVD were great, too!! We have all have watched this one over and over again!

I am not a big fan of King Kong, but this version of the story made me smile. Getting away from the original premise, of taking the girl to the island, and using her as a sacrifice to draw out Kong, and take him to the city to die. This is a far more superior story. And having Samuel L. Jackson does not hurt either.

I was surprised by how much I loved this movie. After seeing the previews, I had no interest in seeing another Kong movie, especially one with John Goodman in the cast, but someone happened to have it on in the background and I got sucked in. lol In fact I loved it so much I bought the blu-ray edition! Everyone was good and this version of King Kong was well done.

Saw this at the theatre when it came out and was blown away. It wasnt the often retold King Kong story of the girl and the tall building. Great action, great cast and I love how this is all tied into the new Kaiju universe they are building with Godzilla. Can't wait to see Kong take on Godzilla in a few years.

If you are looking for giant monkey action, this is the movie for you. Great action, it starts almost immediately. A great human cast, except for Brie Larson, not a fan. They don't fall into the trap of excessive backstory on the humans. Just the right amount. The star is the CGI ape, and he doesn't disappoint.

Interesting movie. 3D is how you should watch this as it surpasses the higher resolution and slightly brighter 4K master. When viewed on a home 3D TV, it is immersive to the point where you feel present on the island next to Samuel L and the gang! Kong cgi is well done and benefits greatly from the depth aspect of 3D! Importing is the only way to buy this now.

Good HDR image on the disc. The Atmos is fantastic. The sound separation between people voices on the bottom and King Kong on the top in the Atmos channels is excellent. Overall a Good buy.

It’s a decent upgrade if it’s only recommended if you want the upgrade not a must have

I love that tech has caught up to monster movies. I'm talking about full grown big as *^&* monster movies that don't have "shiny" vamps in ther either !! This is one of the best King Kong films I've seen. I don't want to say to much as to give the movie away but if you liked Godzilla you will like this !!!!

I really enjoyed this movie. It surprised me. It's completely different from the PeterJackson version but very entertaining. The reason I got the steel book edition of this was that is the only way to get a 4k and 3D version of the film in the same package. My only complaint is the 3D disc doesn't contain the Dollby Atmos sound that the 4k and bluray versions do.

Bought this movie because it was part of a buy 3 for deal. Didn't have high or low expectations for this movie. Went in with an open mind. If you're looking for a fun flick then definitely check it out. The effects are pretty good, especially in 4k. I also thought that the 'monsters' in the movie were pretty rad too. Not your typical Kong movie.

Enjoyed this movie very much. This is a classic tale of who's the bad guy, us or Kong. It's a set up movie for the larger monster universe that is building. If you liked Godzilla 2014, then i'd recommend Skull Island. Skull Island has more comedic moments than Godzilla and lots more monster time than Godzilla. It's a great looking movie in terms of the efx too.

This movie was an unexpected build on the the now mythic history of Kong. Though set in the 70's it really moved the story forward in a new and fresh direction, Acting and casting was really well done, and the film was visually well crafted as well. So high marks all around. The 4K version was well processed and looked good projected on a 100 inch screen.

I missed this one in the theaters but was thrilled when the Best Buy exclusive steelbook that included both the 3D and 4K versions of the movie. The movie was engaging and very good. Great setup to continue the anticipated series with Godzilla. The soundtrack was engulfing and bombastic. Keep them coming!

This is a remake but now some of the monsters make sense. It is a great movie to watch (3D) should have been done before Godzilla or Pacific Rim. Looking forward to the old monster movies coming back that I watched as a child. Mothra and wolfman all those great SCIFI movies we used to watch. FUN FUN FUN.

Bought this movie as part of Best Buy's "3 Select 4K Blu-Ray Movies for $50" which is an excellent way for expanding your 4K movie library. Great special effects King Kong movie with an Apocalypse Now feel to it. Suspend your sense of reality because no sane helicopter pilot is going to fly low enough for Kong to pulverize his aircraft and crew.

This is a really fun movie that is made even better in 3D. Thanks Best Buy for having the great special edition that has both the 3D and 4K versions in a cool steel box. Also thanks for making it a deliverable and not just an in store pickup. Love Kong Island and Best Buy. Keep the 3D exclusives coming.
