This one took a couple of views to really grow on me but with each viewing I enjoy it more. It has a couple of genuine scares and humor sprinkled throughout to add levity. It was a nice introduction to US state-siders to the the legend of Krampus. I really favor that they used practical effects and did not go full CGI. Pluses for Toni Collette, one of my favorite actresses being present and it being directed by the creator of Trick 'r Treat of which I strongly believe has cemented its place as a new Halloween classic.

I have to admit I was a little skeptical of Krampus at first, but my daughter wanted it so I bought it. After viewing it I give it 5 stars because it's so good that I hope there's a sequel. With movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas it is was a great idea to create a scary Christmas film. It kept me glued to the tube all the way through the movie. It's a very well written script and it has a cool element of erie to it. The grandmother is my favorite character because she is the it factor to the movie. It's obvious she plays a major part in this film. I really enjoyed this movie and I am so glad my daughter suggested that we buy this film. I'm glad to have this as an addition to my film collection.

Bought this as a gift. We saw it on cable and thought it was entertaining. We know someone who really liked it so we got it for them.

For an unconventional Christmas movie, Krampus was pretty good. However, it obviously is not a movie for the kiddos on Christmas Eve.

This is a enjoyable movie, is it gonna be up there with a great Horror movie? No. Be ready that this is a horror/comedy that leans more towards Comedy. There were parts that made me laugh pretty good, but there is a semi "ho, hum" attitude the characters take and the movie goes for broke in a most entertaining way. It did have me rooting a certain way by the end and I was surprised by that. That being said its only an hour and a half and moves fast so it's not a bad movie to watch for some ridiculous fun.

If you're familiar with the European legend of Krampus, you're in luck, if not, you're in for an education.............in either case, you're in for a mesmerizing view...... THIS MOVIE ROCKS! Creative, imaginative, and just more fun than the law will allow, here's one to take in and just enjoy. From the man who directed my Halloween favorite, Trick r Treat, comes a Christmas fantasy that gives a jolt to the ol' WOW meter. Great effects, great story, highly recommended, but NOT for little folks, several unsettling scenes make this not "full family" material. On Blu and DVD/Digital, along with nice bonus features, this is a great set at a very reasonable price.

I respect the ambition of the creators of Krampus to make the next Gremlins, but I don't think they were entirely successful. The work Weta Workshop did on the creatures in this film is topnotch, and the special features documenting that work are plenty entertaining in themselves. While the technical aspects of this film are truly impressive and the performances are good, I wanted more chills and thrills from this tale than it actually delivers.

If you're looking for a serious Christmas themed horror movie, then this is not for you. If you want a horror comedy that hearkens back to the time of movies such as Gremlins 1 & 2, Killer Klowns From Outer Space, and Evil Dead 2/Army Of Darkness series then this is the film for you. Filled with superb practical effects, this film captures what was so fun about the classic horror comedies of the 80s and 90s. You don't really see horror comedies being made like this anymore, which is a shame. This film is proof that you can emulate the feel of a movie from 20+ years ago while still having it feel timeless.

A film like Krampus seems from the outset destined to be a cult favorite. Easily passed over and missed this is a movie that should be given a chance if your thinking of something to watch this holiday season or perhaps if your just a fan of the horror genre. The mix of thrills, laughs, action, and suspense that this movie has and how it balances the tone is what makes it so good. From the director of Trick Or Treat, this one's not to be missed.

The film looks really good in 4K despite being finished in 2K. The Naughty Cut is just a bunch of character scenes added in with a few more curse words added as well. All of the scenes added are actually on the 2016 blu-ray if you want to see what they are. The special features are nice.

This is a great new they put out the shell of a pretty darn good horror comedy from recent years from one of my favorite Blu-ray labels Scream Factory brought to you by Shout Factory I recommend anyone who is a fan of Shout Factory or Scream Factory to buy this as soon as possible.

This is now one of my all time favorite Christmas film traditions right up there with Christmas Vacation. What's not better that mixing comedy and horror together. They way this film was filmed is amazing and the mood is absolutely perfect. I am not sure who could give this movie a bad score because I think it Rocks! A definite Christmas Horror Classic that will have you laughing and tense at the same time!!

Krampus is such a wonderful film. I loved it because it was way better than I expected it to be. With Christmas slowly approaching this film will get you in a festive mood as well as bringing a little fright into your silent night. This was a well written film that cross all Christmas boundaries by giving you a scary story within a time everyone should be happy. Just think the Nightmare before Christmas with actors instead of cartoon characters. It is a terrific that I guarantee will have you even more thankful and grateful by the end of the night.

This a now a yearly Christmas movie we watch, been 3 years now. Finally decided to get a copy for ourselves since we always watch it at our yearly family party. It will definitely be a scary movie for young viewers. Our group of young children are no longer scared after watching it a few times and understanding the moral in thia movie. The scares are good and visual effects look great. This movie has a very good moral story. No spoilers. I definitely recommend this movie to everyone.

This was a twisted Christmas movie and is definitely not for the younger audience's.

Wasn't really expecting much from this movie, but after seeing the cast I thought I'd give it a chance. Sat down with my kids (12, 14) and all three of us enjoyed it. The story was interesting if not somewhat predictable, the character and creature designing were neat and it was an overall fun movie to watch It has now become one of our "offbeat" Christmas movie we watch every year.

Great Christmas movie in the spirit of Gremlins. Its usually categorized in horror, but its definitely not a hardcore horror film. Much more light hearted and family friendly. Think of Christmas Vacation meets Gremlins. If you're looking for true horror with blood and gore, then this isnt for you. This is a fun popcorn film not to be taken serious. Just enjoy the story and visuals.

Ok movie I enjoy the german tradition fun movie but it’s a b movie taste I have

This should be consider a Christmas classic! what isn't there to say about this cinema masterpiece? It's got all the ingredients we love when it comes to a Christmas movie: (possesed) toys, a grandma (german with urban legends), sick crazy cousins, tons of food and gifts, but Krampus showed up instead of Santa! I loved this movie since I saw it at the movie theater, mostly creepy than horror, I will say with some funny moments. This film is just great..!!!

The holiday season will never be the same for the kids in our household. I was aware of the legend of the real Krampus and knew that this film was a comedy/horror. The little ones in our household wanted to prove to me that they could watch a scary film. They said how scary could it be, it's Christmas. Bottom line, they spent the entire night in bed with the parents.
