Good movie from 1998, it is a classic and well done, like this genre of movie then you will love this.

The movie is still worth the price of admission even if one of the actors has fallen from grace.

LA Confidential is probably one of those films that people tend to forget how great it was. It was overshadowed by Titanic during the award ceremony, but this a great fill all around with great performances, an intricate, interwoven, interesting plot, writing that doesn't hit you over the head with its social commentary or spoon feed you everything you need to know through exposition. I owned this film on DVD and I decided to watch it on my new 60' TV and it was hard to not see how poorly it looked, so I bought the Blu-Ray and I really like the way it looks and even sounds now when watching it on my entertainment system. The special features are great.
