Customers recognize the high build quality and fun factor of the Labo Toy-Con: Vehicle Kit, frequently praising the engaging gameplay and creative aspects. However, some customers note that assembly can be time-consuming, particularly for younger children, and that the cardboard construction may present storage challenges. The price point is also a factor, with some finding it worthwhile, especially when purchased on sale.

Putting these Labo kits together with my 5 year old is pure joy. We love punching out the cardboard and seeing it come together into a real object. The vehicle games are a blast, and so far have had the most depth of gameplay of all the kits. I hope Nintendo continues to expand the Labo platform.

It takes a lot of time to make the craft part but it is a great family time project. We have only finished the main part and used it in the bundled game and Mario Kart. It works well, however, it is hard to find a place to put the the steering wheel securely.

It’s something that is out of left field. Leave it to Nintendo to bring out a product that lets you be creative. There’s something about learning to put together something and watching it work is just amazing. Any of the Labo kits does this ingenious thing that just sparks the mind.

I was skeptical buying this, but I truly enjoyed helping my kids build! They love playing the game with its adventure mode and racing. They also have discover mode which teaches them the mechanisms and functions. Definitely recommended!

My son has 3 different Labo sets and this one may be one of his favorites. The creativity and excitement he feels when putting these kits together warms my heart. The toughest part of this type of “toy” is keeping it from getting wet or crushed as time passes...

I didn’t know what to expect regarding the quality/durability of something primarily made of cardboard, but it’s held up so far. My kid has enjoyed playing with this and the games may seem simple but the controls seem intuitive and frankly it’s pretty amazing how creative the whole thing is in terms of function and design. Bought this on sale for $30 off and at that discount it’s hard to beat. The only gripe I have is that the building/instructions element needed to get to the main part of the game needs to be completed before you can really play, and every user needs to do this for themselves before it can be used (even though the labo is built after the first user. Based on research, I it sounds like there is no way around this. Kind of a strange/annoying oversight but ultimately the only thing that was less than ideal.

While the Variety kit has more builds to make and this one only has 3 kits, these are more challenging and the games are more fun to play. Would definitely recommend, especially if you can get it (and the rest) on sale.

The game part is fine for younger kids but the real fun is in building it together. If your child likes building, coloring, or craft projects this is a cool thing. Once built, they are bulky so make sure storage is thought about in advance.

I built this kit with my 6-year-old son. He absolutely loved helping pop out the pieces and putting it together and just loves playing all the different cames. This is incredibly well put together by Nintendo.

this kit provides a fun, and interesting build for kids, the instructions are the best part, they are so in-depth and allowable, I honestly wish everything that needs to be built came with these instructions.

Purchase this as a gift. The new lower price at $40.00 is the right price for this game. A 8 year boy was able out it together following the instructions given. He said his it’s fun and he enjoys playing this game with his friends.

Takes alittle time to build but good quality time doing it with the kids. They absolutely love these takes the switch to another level and even though it's cardboard it seems very well made and will hold up.

My kids love this product. It's great family time as we follow the instructions and build things out of cardboard. Then it's play time afterwards. Be sure to set aside a decent amount of time because it does take a while to build.

this is a good product for playing but also for family time and provides the lesson of putting in work to be able to enjoy the fruits of one's labor; haven't made everything yet, so looking forward to more building and playing together

My son has been really interested in the Labo products but I told him we'd wait until the prices dropped. I was able to get this half off the original cost and for that price...it's super fun and gets his brain moving a bit.

I got vehicle and variety kit during sale and am very happy with the purchase. I actually bought it for my 7yo, but some of the assembly required adult supervision. Once the assembly was done, it was fun to interact with toy-cons using the switch. And my kid loves the vehicle kit toy-cons more than the variety kit ones.

My 8 year old son asked me for this set . I also bought him the 1st set with the piano, fishing rod and other builds which he enjoyed putting together and playing with. Overall it's not bad, but it's still just cardboard. He liked this set better than the previous one and the car can now be used to play Mario Kart as well.

I had a lot of fun putting together Labo kits with my nephews, and we all agreed that this one was the best. Assembly was fun and engaging--the finished products are really cool, starting simple and ending with a surprisingly complex steering wheel.
The game that's included is pretty basic; it's basically a sandbox to play with your new toys. All you need to do is swap the "key" from one vehicle to the next and your vehicle in the game changes. It's a neat feature that never gets old.
So far, the creations have held up pretty well. Despite being made of cardboard, they're fairly sturdy.
If you're curious about Labo or want something fun and unique to do with your Switch, this is a great starting place.
