We started with the labo robot, which took us a few weeks to get going on but once my 6 year old figured it out the last couple of steps flew by. Playing the games is just as much fun for him as decorating the completed project. We haven't built everything out of this box but I love that there are more than just one activity. Its keeping him excited for the next project while not getting bored with what he has already done.

I assembled everything that comes in this box. The video instructions were simple for everyone to follow. The games, however, was so-so. Some games my nephew didn't like the motorcycle game. That device will slide off from your stomach if you don't keep it under control when you steer left or right. Fishing game is fun. Piano is fun. The house toy is my nephew favorite. RC car remote was dumb...will drain the joy con controller if you use it for a long time

Don't buy this thinking of it as a game, or really something with a ton of replay value (for 99% of people). Think of it as a model kit, or a one-time Lego build with you can mess around with afterwards for a little bit.
It's well put together and fun. It was a good time building with my wife or with my nieces. If you're the type of person who likes building Ikea furniture, then you'll enjoy this also. Just don't buy at full price.

The coolest thing ever. I have a child that loves to build and put together things. He had a blast putting it together and then playing after. And so many different things to build. Definitely recommend

This set far exceeded my expectations. The pieces were very easy to put together and the instructions were easy to follow. The sets, when put together, were very sturdy. I was worried about them being cardboard they may be flimsy but no in the least. The games were fun to plant and offered a lot of variety. A must get for switch owners.

I did not completely understand the reason for Nintendo to release this, the whole aspect of it is kind of like legos and have your kids built and use them in the game but it is not necessary and at times it gets in the way of enjoying the game. I would recommend it for kids but if you're an adult or teenager not necessary, it seems more like a money gimmick for Nintendo, which they have a lot already

The cardboard is well designed, making it easy to punch out the necessary pieces. The included game gives great instruction on how to assemble. I found that (for an adult) I can assemble each object in half the time the game quotes, or less. Games are fun to play, but that fun wears thin after 30 minutes or so.

Labo is a new thing from Nintendo that is more like Lego. The fun is more in the building. However with 5 different items to build there is a lot of fun to be had. The games leave more to be desired although I'M quite fond of the fishing game. Really your enjoyment of Labo will depend if you like putting things together. If you don't stay away, if you do then have a blast.

My son has spent hours building his new toys. He feels a sense of accomplishment with each one built and seems to appreciate them more than toys right out of a box. Thank you for this wonderful concept. Plus it is fun watching him fishing and acting like he is really playing the piano

It was fun to put together and the instructions were very clear. The main problem is the games are very shallow and you’ve played most of it in the first few hours. The only one with depth is the piano but there’s a high musical bar you need to have in order to be competent with it.

Where were toys like this when I was a kid? So much fun assembling this with my son. We had a blast. Playing it was fun too... while it lasted. Aside from the initial construction the games don’t have much replay value for my 8 yr old. Still worth it tho!

My family was constantly amazed at how creative and imaginative this kit is. My 11 year old son had tons of fun building the different things. Once built, the activities themselves are enjoyable for a time, but building the different things is more fun.

The game part is fine for younger kids but the real fun is in building it together. If your child likes building, coloring, or craft projects this is a cool thing. Once built, they are bulky so make sure storage is thought about in advance.

My son was excited to receive this for Christmas. I subscribe to KiwiCo and he likes getting little STEAM projects he can build. This is very similar. He sat there and assembled his first project, the robot I think. He figured out there was a little camera at the bottom of his JoyCon which was interesting. He got a kick out of the fact that he could use his creation to play a new game! They're pretty sturdy and easy to assemble. I wish the piano had more game play options because it took like 2 hours to make and the games wasnt that great. The fishing rod had the best game. Overall, I think it was wonderful! My son enjoyed the projects and I liked that it got him off the games for a little bit (even though it was a means to an end). I'll invest in more of these!

I’ve been interested since Nintendo first announced it. I don’t know why i waited to buy this, it’s a really cool concept and fun if you like building things like legos. I never thought I would be playing a piano with my switch but Nintendo made it work and the software even explains how each toy-con works and it’s very interesting. You learn things about the switch like the use of the IR camera on the right joy-con and how the HD rumble differs from other gamepads. Overall it’s fun both building the toy-con and using them but I wouldn’t recommend kids building it on their own because the cardboard can be messed up if not careful. Luckily, Nintendo sells replacement toy-con sheets on their website if a piece happens to be destroyed beyond repair.

I have purchased all of the labo kits and the variety boxes are probably my favorite since they offer variety and the build times are a bit shorter. This is a great intro kit into the series.

There is enough variety in this kit for everyone. Projects range from about 15 minutes to 1 hour. Playtime can be extensive. My 7-year old could build most of the projects with a little help Highly recommended!
