Got this for a song, so now playing the piano
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't want to buy this when it first came out as I felt the price was too high....well waited long enough and got it for $20 so just couldn't pass it up on a daily deal. I had previously purchased the VR kit so knew what to expect as far as assembling the cardboard pieces and then the software turns them into toys.....good stuff, lots of fun and just another offering that sets Nintendo apart from all the rest.

Great With Kids
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had fun building these with my kids. The “games” don’t hold your attention for too long but you still get hours of entertainment building and trying everything.

Fun for a short time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's very cool and interesting at first. The cardboard is very easy to fold and put together but some projects are very time consuming. I thinl the motorbike took about 2 hours and the fishingpole about the same. Still working on the piano. The games are very lack luster not a whole lot too them and after my six year old played them for a couple hours im not sure if he will ever go back to them. The games are just very simple and short and have no reason to replay any of them.

Excellent experience, ingenious engineering
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This set is a very fulfilling experience. Don't be deterred by the cardboard. The quality is very high. The aha moments are fascinating and the designs are tolerant of minor mistakes. The software explains to you all of the different concepts used in an easy to understand manner and lets you peek under the hood of the joy cons. The later builds get challenging and require patience. Pretty iffy replay value though, unless you take advantage of the IFTTT logic interface for custom builds. Then there is all sorts of potential. Finished builds take up a lot of space.

Nintendo Switch to the rescue...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I play a lot of games on the PS4 and my daughter has been wanting to play video games with me. I use to give her a controller with no power and have her "play" along with me (what parent hasn't done this). She has gotten wise. So I decided to save my tips and use it to purchase the Nintendo Switch. One of the best purchases I've made. My daughter is over the moon with the fact that she can now play games with her dad.

Excellent Item
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This set adds real world hands-on play to the Switch. My son enjoyed building each kit. Everything worked like it was supposed to so he was never frustrated. He was an avid LEGO builder and the construction aspect of this appealed to him and it also fired up his curiosity and imagination about what other things the game controllers could be adapted to. I'm very glad I bought this kit and have mu eye on the others.

Very Good Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product not only provided quality time with my 10 year-old daughter putting it together: but had a blast playing the games with it. A bit pricey but you're not just paying for cardboard as some reviews lead you to believe. You are also getting the games (software) that this is used with: that has value. But most important is the time and interaction you spend with someone you like to spend time with. Priceless!

Awesome idea!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My kids 8,9,10,12,13 love this. Even the younger ones create these cardboard projects without help since the on screen guide is so we'll done. I think they had as much fun making the items as using them with the switch. I hope Nintendo makes more projects in the future. I also hope that we can break these down and pack them into it suitcases, without breaking them, for the trip to the mainland. If not, still worth it!

Lockdown Fun with my Kid
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Extremely fun! Combining the building times of all five projects, you have about 7-10 hours of construction (which is more interesting than you think) and after that some of the minigames for the projects are a blast! Not only that, it teaches kids about engineering, infrared cameras, motion sensors, as well as vibration and how it creates sounds.

Unique and fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 7YO son and I spent 3 hours getting through a few of the projects taking a break after the fishing one. The whole setup is done really well, from the clarity of the cardboard to the really detailed instructions. It’s about 99% foolproof. Kudos to Nintendo for coming up with this. With so many digital games, it’s nice to actually create something tangible. Hope they make more of these Labo kits.

Great for Families
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nintendo knows how to create unique ways to play. My kids and I have had a blast putting together, testing, tweaking, and decorating the LABO creations, and we are only about 1/4 of the way through. The cardboard is just sturdy enough, precisely cut and creased for easy pop-out and folding, and the instructions are very easy to follow. If you are looking for hours of interactive fun, pick up the Variety Kit.

Amazing idea!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very neat concept. The game walks you though each step and even shows an animation that you can adjust to any angle to make sure you're building the set correctly. I didn't have a single issue while building these sets. I would recommend building these with more than one person. its easier to take turns folding parts and having someone to click the 'forward' button is actually pretty helpful.

Carboard and gaming...together at last?
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nintendo sold me on their Labo system, which I then preordered through Best Buy. The system of building your gaming peripheral was a unique proposition and myself and my kids enjoyed building it, much like we build Lego sets. The gaming aspect though falls a little flat when it comes to the software. Sure there's a lot to do and fun new ways to enjoy the games, but ultimately it's just a bit bland and short in the gameplay department.

Surprise hit!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased on a whim for my son for Christmas, turned out to be way better than I expected! Some of the tasks do require adult help if your child is younger, but the combination of building and playing is AMAZING! Its perfect for any child who loves to build and is interested in stem.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Grandson is 10. He and I loved this product. All of the projects worked as advertised. Sense of accomplishment for him, priceless bonding time with my grandson. The switch walked us through, step by step. Thank you Nintendo for making this product, and Best Buy for selling!

Better than expected
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This looked like a waste of money but the kids wanted it so I got it for them as a gift. It's much more interesting than I thought it would be. Took the kids quite a while to put everything together. A very interesting take on video gaming and very creative use of the Switch platform. If 1st person shooters are your passion then this probably won't keep your attention for long but all in all this was well worth the money.
