I purchased this item for my ten-year-old grandson. The instructions were great and he was able to assemble all of the projects by himself. Once they were completed, he has been having a great time playing with them. He spent hours on the building process and has spent many more hours playing on them. While it was expensive, it has been worth the money spent.

Fun to assemble. Games aren’t great but you can program your own.

My kids loved putting together the pieces and playing the piano made out ofncard board and the fishing and remote control robot car or w.e ot is is fun too. Definitely a cool new way of playing and I love that it's innovative. No one else is doing things like this and I love that Nintendo is. Definitely recommend this

It’s fun to build the different activities, and it’s a very diverse array! It’s just tough to store it all.

I thought this was kind of a gimmick when this first came out but now that I got it and had the chance to build it and play with it I gotta say I’m impressed! Easy instructions to help you build and then a lot of options to play once you do. This is especially great during these times of being locked inside.

You are purchasing HOURS of build time and it's totally worth it. For people who are complaining about paying for cardboard, think of this as a collectors Lego set. But with Labo, you can actually play with it after you build it. My kids and I have so much fun simply with the build process. This kit has so many possibilities and hours and hours of fun!

Combines creativity and science and fun all in one

I pre-order this package because of many things: 1. As a VR AR developer, I am frustrated with the poor controller design by HTC, Oculus, Daydream, and Gear VR. LABO is a breakthrough and an inspiration for specialty controllers. 2. Grow up with Anime and Japanese toys. Cardboard is a very important component in this experience. From the monthly children learning magazine's folding cardboard toys to the famous anime characters and robots made of cardboard, LABO is the next big thing to extend this cultural significance. However, I don't think Americans would appreciate cardboard as much as Japanese do other than packing materials. 3. Putting this together by yourself is long and painful. It is like experiencing one of those love of first sight romance with a quick burn out. The robot box is so many works. We only played for about 30 mins, I had not touched it for the past 3 weeks. I recommend starting with the other box set first.

Labo is a blast to put together, the games are just OK.

I’m having a great time with my wife putting these cardboard creations together. It’s fun taking turns with folding the cardboard cutouts while the other controls the Switch’s on-screen instructions, which are very intuitive. We put some music on and knock these things out. Then it’s fun messing around and experimenting with the capabilities of the Switch’s joy cons and how they interact with the cardboard objects and the surrounding environment. May not be for everyone, but if you like taking the time to build the stuff and mess with what really are toys, this is for you. Some of the projects may be a little too much for small kids, as you have to be careful not to damage the semi-delicate cardboard. But with adult supervision, they should be good!

Putting together all the Cardboard was a great time! I also liked how they all had minigames of some sort attached to them! I may not have revised it after the first go around, but I believe that this is a great time for children that will spark their creativity!

Kids loved this. Great variety of things to do. More than you think to unlock.

For this being a box full of cardboard sheets it's actually pretty cool. I wish my kids were a bit older as they don't want to sit still long enough to put these things together. 1-3 hours per item is a long time even for me. We have only done a few of them and the kids really enjoy it. I do wish the games had more depth. It's basically a tech demo. Still really cool what you can do with some cardboard and controllers.

My 9-year-old son loves it. He had been asking for it since Christmas and I thought it was just cardboard crap. I was wrong and he was right. Hours and hours of fun, creating accessories to play games. The fishing is hard but we've had fun trying to catch that big fish. Totally worth it when on sale.

It’s great to build with kids but it does get a little bit boring rather quickly.

Labo is pretty fun to play and explore. The piano's surprisingly fun

My son loves building and using the different options in the labo. The fishing pole and game has been really fun. Some grownup help might be required to put various parts together and we have used tape to hold things in place as needed. We are currently working on the piano which is a bit more difficult. Fun way to use sensory skills to build and create instead of just playing video games.

I decided to pick some of these up since they were on sale during November and I have always been curious about these. Although I am definitely a gamer first, these are pretty fun and offer a different and clever way to utilize the Switch. The Vehicle kit interacts with Mario Kart which probably makes this one the best of the Labo offerings. The Variety kit is probably a close second.

While the games themselves don't have much depth, the building is worth the price.

I was rather skeptical when my 10 year old son said he wanted this. Much to my surprise, it is really well done and entertaining. He enjoys putting the objects together and seems to like the games themselves. Who knew a box of cardboard could be so effective. I am very impressed.
