Drive is reliable and easy to use. Would recommend it.

My only concern is the thunderbolt wire is connected to the drive. You can't unplug it.

I swapped out the 1Tb HDD for a 480Gb Sandisk SSD drive. It works great and was easy to upgrade. I went from 100mbps to about 400mbps. A great video editing drive.

Well worth the difference in price from the Mini that has only a single USB3 port that is terribly fragile and no option for connection when it goes - and it usually does. I see this a lot with my students. ALWAYS recommend they return the Mini and get this one. Thunderbolt connection seems the more reliable.

Until Thunerbolty 2 drives pop up, this is the way to go! Packaged and secure and blazing fast.

I use the drive for business as a DJ and it's a drive I can trust with all of my music. It's rugged design is a plus and ease of use is what I was looking for.

This is the second LeCie external drive I have purchased. Works just fine as a backup to my photo primary external drive unit. No problems since I bought it.

This is a terrific hard drive for mobile users. With the rugged case and attached Thunderbolt cable, it's an easily transported drive.

Excellent rugged portable drive. If you've ever dropped a portable drive and lost information you'll appreciate this. While not indestructible it will survive drops others won't.

I work in different reality TV productions and this is the one that I have always seen the Media Managers use simply because its durable and has a pretty quick transfer rate.

I use this for photography and music backup for Djing. I have used other brands and this is the best one I have had by far

Purchased this for my Mac and with the thunderbolt connection it makes upload times very fast. I like the look of the hard drive itself but the orange bumper surrounding it is kinda loud for my taste. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars styling/no color options

I travel around quite a bit and needed a hard drive that could take being handled a lot. This has been a good drive to have, has held up to all that it says it can.

A very safe and accessible way to keep data off of your computer's hard drive. I haven't had a problem with it thus far. Not to mention it is super durable!

This is a great portable memory drive. I also love the silicon case, it keeps it safe from damage from a small drop.

I upgraded my old LaCie Rugged hard drive for this one because it has double the space and speed thanks to thunderbolt compatibility.

I use it for backup. I use it thru Adobe Bridge. It saves everything for me and it is portable to take with me when I travel.

My son needed a drive for a class at the local cimmunity college. It has been thrown in a backpack, dropped on the floor and keeps functioning well.
