It took me a long time to get my macbook backed up. In the beginning it wasnt as easy as just inserting the hard drive. I bought this not even a full week ago and my macbook is JUST now backing up today. I had to go in and find/rename files and delete them in order for my macbook to back up. Finally i got it working! Thank God!

If you are on the go this is a great SSD. I have to drive to different work sites for my job and I’m at ease knowing how protective this SSD is. Light weight and very fast too. I’d say this is more for storage rather than actually running games off it.

Definitely a rugged external drive. Nice and compact. I do wish the rubber were a different color. Otherwise it works great with my Mac.

It's a good external drive, I've used them on both Windows and Macs and they work very well with both. I like the orange protective surround they have, it's easy to find, for one when they're around the house not attached to the machine, and they help if one drops it.

Rugged-Portable-Easy-to-use... Exactly what I was looking for. For photo storage on the go this is a great solution. With mirror function it doesn't get any easier to back up your work. Great amounts of storage for large files and a great price. It looks good too.

Well made, nicely styled if you care. Most importantly, it seems to live up to it rugged design with the orange protector. We do move the drive frequently and no problem so far.

I am a college student, and I needed something with a high amount of storage. I have had one of these before, so I was glad I was able to find one. I got the 1TB, but there are ones that have more. Perfect for those that need more storage than what their device is giving.

This really is a rugged hard drive, I take it everywhere and share files with my friends and associates. If you drop it, no bother it takes sudden drops with ease and continues to protect your files. Wouldn't leave home without my LaCie!

The USB-C connections are much better than the older models of the rugged hard drive. This is the 3rd LaCie hard drive that I've purchased. The previous Ruggeds would last for around 2.5 years before the connectors would become loose.

This is pretty straightforward item. It is slimmer than an older version I have with the same amount of storage as my older one. It's very durable and pretty portable.

Very useful. The external rubber seems resistant. I used it for two months and the cable still works so far.

One of the best portable External drives. I don't mind the size, I have dropped this thing, many times and it fires up fine. Good read and write speed.
