I plugged in an started using it, no set up, no glitches. It is rugged and seems like it will take a beating. We'll see after a few months of use.

So far so good! My friend recommended that I get a Lacie, having bought more than 5 over the past few years. It's been reliable for him and I'm hoping it will be the same for me. Content with this purchase!

External USB - portable hard drive I found this difficult to set up and to use. My daughter did help me to back up my files. It is expensive and not so user friendly.

It was easy to connect the drive to my MacBook Air with the USB-C cable that was included with the drive. I've used it with the Time Machine app on the MacBook and it works fine. I have not tried the software that comes with the drive. Overall, I am pleased with it.

An excellent little device for keeping Windows updates at bay - does the trick with my blessing.

Perfect for my MacBook I use and definitely is rugged in case of drops or anything that might come up with the rubber case around it.

I used to have the Passport external drive so I was worried about changing to Lacie, but I’m glad I did. The rugged support structure makes it very convenient to travel. The Lacie software also makes it very convenient so use Apple’s Time Machine, which made me very happy. I was able to set up the Lacie in a matter of minutes.

Makes backing up my laptop easy. Not a big fan of the default software, but it works ok.

I purchased this storage device for my wife’s Mac. She was always complaining about storage on her computer because I got her the 256MB. I just didn’t understand why Apple would charge so much for storage. After a day of using this hard drive she was in love. Great speed in transferring and she can finally finish all her movies. Phots flow effortlessly from the device to the computer.

I always trust these LaCie drives - particularly the rugged ones.
