Enjoyable film that reminds me of an updated Juno in tone, if I could compare it to anything. Picture quality is good as well

Very touching to watch as a mother. My teenage daughters didn’t really get the ending until later while discussing the movie.

Nice work by leads. Terrific supporting roles; her BFF, Lucas Hedges as 1st crush & Timothee Chalemet as casual boyfriend.

Lady Bird's a great little slice-of-life drama, rich in its authentic family portrait, with fantastic performances across the board. It's enjoys the same snapshot diary feel as The Florida Project, with young, budding actress-turned-filmmaker Greta Gerwig not only proving that she's learned a great deal from working with directors like Noah Baumbach, but also that she has a voice and style very much of her own. It's an impressive directorial debut, and Universal's UK Blu-ray release provides a solid rendition of the distinctive style and strong audio support with a couple of decent extras to round out a recommended package.

This movie was a candidate for best picture in 2017. In my opinion it should’ve won best picture. It was one of the most well crafted, best directed and incredibly acted movies I’ve ever seen. Not typically the genre are usually watch but I was pulled into the movie almost from the very beginning and was fully entertained the entire movie long.

Having just moved to Sacramento, this movie holds a special place in my heart. It is hilariously honest in its portrayal of a teen nothing like her mom just wanting to get away from her roots only to realize she wouldn't be who she was without it all. The scenes are shot at beloved places in the city and inspired me to get out and explore.

Greta Gerwig can only go downhill from here, because this was about as good a debut as can be done. The coming-of-age storyline was solid, but it was Saoirse Ronan and Laurie Metcalf's performances that really helped make this special. I love Frances McDormand and Allison Janney, but the Oscars should have gone to the Lady Bird ladies.

Though I love anything that Saoirse Ronan does. She's the best actress working today in my opinion. This wasn't worth all the Oscar hype that it received. Good? Sure. But as far as this type of film goes based on the same story line. I prefer The Edge of Seventeen myself. Still worth a watch and is good. Just prefer the other. See Ronan in Brooklyn or Hanna for a better one of her films.

This movie is good, not great, in my opinion. Not exactly what I expected based on all the hype it got. It was still somewhat entertaining, though.

This is a welcomed reminder of the strength of human relationships, and in particular, mother and daughter. This is a wonderfully written screenplay and with stellar performances by all, LADYBIRD is motion picture you can see on countless occasions and find something more to delight in yet every time. Buy it!!!!

Having moved to Sacramento in recent years this movie definitely made me love the city a little more and I came to appreciate its charms. Hilarious coming of age story and the chemistry between the actors is amazing. Saoirse Ronan NEVER disappoints.

The movie was very slow moving. It was interesting in regard to the mother/daughter relationship but had a strange, abrupt ending.

Perhaps I’m biased as a former sactown inhabitant, but Lady Bird is not only a beautiful love letter to life in Sacramento, but a hilarious and relatable view into growing up in a small town. A coming of age story that’s an intersection between Garden State and Saved, would definitely recommend

I have to admit my biases as a resident of the Sacramento area. That said the acting is top notch and believable without being coy. A true love letter to mother-daughters and Sacramento. Rent or buy it. It's worth it. Shame Laurie Metcalf didn't win an oscar. She was fantastic.
