If you're a fan of gangster films: this is a must see. This film is a step up from the wacky (but very good) Lock, Stock and Snatch films. A very impressive debut from director Matthew Vaughn. Very smart and witty!

Daniel Craig is amazing in this movie. It’s intereitmg to see him in a calm role. But this film is awesome for start to finish.

This move was a good movie with a decent plot which can be a little difficult to follow sometimes. I did watch it late one night so my fatigue might've played a role in having trouble keeping up. Would still recommend the watch.

Layer Cake.....Wow! I'll be honest, I never heard of this film until I was recently browsing movies at my local Best Buy. It was only $9.99 so I decided I'd blind buy it. Just reading the sleeve, I was intrigued. So glad I bought this blu ray. From what I've heard, Daniel Craig was offered the role of James Bond after this film with no auditions or anything. That alone tells you how on point the acting was. Every aspect of this film is awesome. Great plot with great delivery, great acting, and an overly awesome cast. Everyone plays their roles as if it was their last film. The story is great and kept me on the edge of my seat with suspense. Layer Cake has that perfect blend of drama, thriller, action, and comedic moments. The blu ray also has impeccable audio and video quality. The notes of the introductory music pan between the front and surround channels in such an awesome way, letting you know you're in for a ride with the audio department. I've only watched Layer Cake once so far, but I know I'll be enjoying this film over and over again with its high replay value. Buy this film!

This movie "The Layer Cake" stars Daniel Craig, and a cast of other strong young and older actors. It was made in 2004, before Daniel Craig become known as "Bond, James Bond". The writing is excellent. The flow of the movie is excellent. The soundtrack is superb.I actually own the movie in Blu-Ray, however I wanted to share it with someone while we were traveling, thus I bought a regular, widescreen version. I hope that the end of fullscreen dvds eventually comes. If someone cannot deal with the black bars on the top and bottom, they do not deserve to see the movie. I recommend this movie to everyone I encounter, and Facebook with (I put up the original movie trailer).

This is a entertaining movie starring Daniel Craig as the main character. It is a thriller about the criminal underworld. The main character narrates the movie. He talks about his dealings in the underworld's drug scene. The plot has many twists and turns. I thought this was a very good movie. It is visually appealing and also has good story. The video quality of the blu-ray movie is excellent. The audio is also flawless.

This is David Craig before James Bond. He did a great job as playing drug dealer who had enough of living the drug dealer life. There is nice supporting cast. This David Craig as his best.

Can't go wrong with this one, it's great from start to finish with some good twists mixed in.

If you're looking for James Bond, don't look here. This movie is strictly for those who like down in the dirt, ultra-realistic stories. Sometimes one watches a movie to escape reality, not to have it shoved in their face. The basic story is good. The action and suspense continue throughout the movie, but it can get too gritty at times. The language was a bit too pervasive. You don't watch a movie like this expecting a kid's show. You don't always want to watch something that makes you feel like you need a shower either. Be informed before you buy.
