This game is exactly what a game should be...FUN! You could say that it lacks a certain realism and that the graphics need to be buffed up a bit but when you see the amount of enemies on creen at once you will realize why it cant look like Gears of War 2. I would say honestly where the game lacks is in its single player mode which feels kind of lonely. The AI of your team is pretty good its just not the same tactics wise playing with the CPU. The controls and concepts are simple and add to the playability of the game. Also i dont agree at all with another review that says this game "rewards spray and pray". It may seem that early on it is easy to just point and shoot but just wait until harder difficulties when ammo is scarce and it takes 4 shotgun shells to kill one Regular Zombie. All in all what you need to know is that this game is a great Multiplayer expierance that any gamer should be happy to own. If however you are not an XBL'er or dont enjoy co-op games you should probably consider this one on the rent first list. For those of you who buy im sure this game will continue to find its way into your XBOX for years (especially Halloweens) to come.

I really left all the review in the Pros and cons this game is fun it changes up on you cand they fixed alot of the glitches in the multiplayer no this game is not the most realistic but its fun and Fun is also know as the reason videogames were made not as a symbol of how much of a gamer you are. Ok but this is a great game its not to slow moveing likee RE5 and its not to fast like well idk but fun game just buy the regular edition of you can and download the survuval edition urseld and save 10 bucks

Left 4 Dead is focused on multiplayer. While the singleplayer campaign is still good on its own, and you are simply teamed with AI, it is not as good as the multiplayer aspect, as the singleplayer AI will only shoot zombies and heal/help players when needed; they won't use molotov cocktails or pipe bombs or open doors or any of that. There are a number of campaigns to choose from, each centered on some primary objective while crossing the map. While each one is essentially "go from point A to point B with stops at points C, D, and E at the end of each level of the chapter of the campaign" there are still numerous differences among each of the campaigns to where you will want to play them all to experience the full story. You might have to make your way down a building, or climb a ladder and then move a crane to continue, or something else. Each campaign can be done in under an hour, with many of them being completed in 30-40 minutes. Each level within a One good feature of the game is the adaptive AI. No two playthroughs will be identical in where and how many zombies spawn. The AI director may throw more (and more powerful) zombies at the player if they are making their way through the levels too easily, or they might tone things down if the player is struggling. The game has two big disappointments: the lack of non-gun weapons, and the lack of variety in the zombie types. Both of these were remedied in the game's sequel, Left 4 Dead 2, but if you have played the sequel you may think this game is lacking. The only option in the game for weapons are guns; there are no baseball bats or other melee weapons. The lack of variety in zombies ("normal" infected, and special infected- witches, boomers, hunters, chargers, and tanks) is somewhat disappointing. If you are being challenged by the AI director with lots of these special infected, you quickly cycle through them all and may encounter multiples of each of the special zombies in a campaign chapter. Each of the special infected has a sound associated with them that alerts the player of what to expect, without directly giving away their location. Sometimes, unfortunately, the normal sounds of gameplay (mostly gunfire) can drown out these sounds though, resulting in an unpleasant surprise. Unless you're a stickler for playing the first game in a series before touching the sequel, I highly recommend simply getting Left 4 Dead 2, which has lots of improvements over this one. However, this is still a pretty good game on its own, and if you just want a decent co-op zombie shooter, L4D is a good choice.

Best graphic, great scary music and noise, east to kill zombies like getting a headshot or shoot them until they fall apart! GOTTA LOVE THE TANK! AKA named th HULK!
