From seeing a clip of this i was obsessed to get the whole thing...after watching the 1st episode i was not disappointed

I can't believe I waited this long to see an amazing fantasy show top tier

When this show first came out I was very excited but disappointed that it was only showing it on I believe WGC a Chicago station. So hard to find when you're not from that state. I've read the first 11 books and really enjoyed the story and characters. I think this show is good, but could have been better. I almost feel like it was ahead of it's time with all the shows coming out now from books onto Netflix and Amazon Prime, etc and the success of The Game of Thrones. I think if this show was being made now and brought out to a larger audience it would have done much better. This show is worth watching if your either a fan of the books or the fantasy genre in general.

The Legend of the Seeker TV Series is based off the "Sword of Truth" book series by Terry Goodkind. I loved the book series. The TV series has some differences in story compared to the books. But is still a very entertaining series. I'm currently watching season 2. Too bad they only made 2 seasons. Would have loved to watch more of the Legend of the Seeker. Very entertaining! If you like the tv series you will also enjoy the books!

It's a good Television series, but I've had 2 copys of season 1 and on both copies, there was a glitch in episode 2 on disc 1 where the episode locks up and then it sticks, or it locks up and skips to the end credits of the episode. My brother also order a copy of Legend of the Seeker Season One off of Amazon and it had the same issue. I'm not sure what to do with the gift card that I got to reorder the series after have 3 different copies of season 1 that have had nearly the same issue.

Wonderful series too bad the studio that made it went belly up and a white knight couldn't be found.

I used to watch the Legend of the Seeker every Sunday and enjoyed it. The simple story of the hero and his friends on their quest was a nice distraction from the more adult fantasies out there. Looking forward to watching with my Grandson when he transitions from cartoons to live action.

One of the best fantasy shows around. I wish it was popular enough to get one more season

Being a Sci-Fi lover, this is just one more adventure series to add to my collection.

Although the series doesn't follow the Sword of Truth books word for word, it does follow the basic outline of of the second book Stone of Tears. Adding a new main character (Cara) to the mix is a gamble in any story, it works very well here. Shot in the fantastic backdrop of New Zealand along with the maturing of Richard and Kahlan's relationship improve a good fantasy series into a great one. Highly recommended. Although the series was cancelled due to Tribune's bankruptcy, there's still a decent possibility that a new network will pick it up and we'll see a third season. Save our Seeker!

If you've never read the book series made famous by Terry Goodkind, then you're probably better off. This show takes very little from the original story, but adds much more to make it worth watching. The acting is superb, the new story is very well done, and the overall show is top notch. Terry Goodkind gave his seal of approval to this show, and I do also. Unfortunately, only 4 audio commentaries are offered, so if you want to learn more about the underneaths of the story, you're out of luck here (however, the four that were done are VERY well done, and include the two main characters.) Some other smaller featurettes about the show are included on the last disc. Overall, if you haven't seen this before, it's definitely worth a watch. If you followed it on syndication last year, there's nothing new unless you enjoy commentary. But it's definitely worth watching again and again. Be prepared for the new season start November 7th!

One of the best shows that has been on tv in years and this DVD set captures all the excitement! Worth the purchase if you are a fan of the show, fantasy shows or shows like the older Xena and Herc shows. It is beautifully shot and has an amazing cast. I hope we get a Season 3 soon! Craig Horner, Bridget Regan and Tabrett Bethell and are the best choices for the roles of Richard, Kahlan and Cara.

I love this show. I was hooked in the first five minutes. Lost some sleep too staying up so late to watch it, I couldn't stop! And Craig Horner isn't bad to look at! The scenery is breathtaking, the story is fast paced and the action never stops. I'm praying to the creator for season 3. Save Our Seeker!

I didn't start watching the show until recently when I caught an old episode of it on and I was immediately hooked. If you like some heroics mixed with magic than this a great show. This is by the same group of people who brought us Hercules and Xena. I was fans of both shows and I am definitely a fan of this show. Lets not forget it has a great cast with the charismatic Craig Horner, the always beautiful Bridget Regan,and the multi-talented actor Bruce Spence. Great commentary on select episodes. A cool behind the scenes featurette. You can't go wrong with this dvd set.
