The Legion Go is a great system with a few caveats. If you're expecting it to be pick-up-and-play like the Nintendo Switch (or even the Steam Deck) you might be in for a bit of a shock. The graphics drivers are going to need updating, you'll need to install something like FXsound to get decent volume, and - at launch - the Lenovo Space software feels unfinished and lacking key features. With all that said, if you're willing to tweak this thing (there are lots of tutorials online) it has the potential to be superb. The screen is large and bright - it puts the OG Deck and even the Rog Ally screen to shame - and the controller options, while possibly overwhelming, are extensive, meaning just about anything is comfortably playable. It's also surprisingly ergonomic and comfortable to hold, given that it's one of the largest PC handhelds on the market. If Lenovo can iron out some of the issues in future software updates, the Legion Go has a shot at being THE handheld to beat.

Its like having a pc in your hands and take it anywhere you want. Im playing MW3 while i take carw of my toddler. I though I will have trouble playing APEX or MW3. But it’s literally like playing on my PC. Only sucky thing is the battery life. I can play my Nintendo Switch for like 5-8 hours n have battery left but my Legion is like 2 hours the most

Ive had the Go for a few days and so far its great. The screen is large and has 3 resolution options. The detachable controllers are a great feature. Once removed you have a Windows tablet. The Go is like having multiple devices in 1 package. Gaming on the Go is a great experience. I dont love FPS mode, but its a very unique idea. I recommend this to anyone.

The Legion Go is simply put awesome. The screen is massive for a handheld. Been plugging in for gaming on the couch, so haven't had an issue with the battery not lasting long. Have played borderlands 3, Diablo, and Fallout 4 on this thing, and all played perfect. If you can get on sale like I did it's worth it.

Got this one to replace a SteamDeck. A few points here: - It's bigger and heavier, but the trade of for a bigger screen and detachable controllers worth it - Windows sucks. If not for the fact I could install Bazzite/SteamOS on it, it would be a no-go from the start. - Forget the 512BG model. 1TB is the bare minimum you will need - The community add-on made this device a great deal (software, 3D printed accessories, etc). - Can't wait to test an external GPU with it

Great device. The screen is very nice and allows for a very clear and detailed images when gaming compared to smaller screens. Battery life could be better, but the Z1E in it performs extremely well during the battery life. Great storage, great controller, it is best played with a outlet nearby

We are glad to read that the Legion Go has been great for you overall.

Regarding the battery life, depending on the demand of the game you're playing, by pressing the Legion R button to launch the quick menu, you can switch to lower power mode to save battery. In the menu, under the performance tab, users can toggle thermal modes and prioritize battery life by using the default mode or creating a custom thermal mode should you not be satisfied with the 3 presets. These adjustments can also be made by going into Legion Space > Settings (Legion Space can be launched quickly by pressing the Legion L button (Legion Logo above the button).

One of the best handheld PCs of it's time. It has great specs and a huge screen for all your gaming needs. It also has joycon like detachable controllers. While detached right side controller can be turned into a function mouse with included base. Can be used as an alternative to a gaming laptops.

Everything looks amazing but the device is noticeably heavy for portable device. The battery isn't great. I tried several games on xbox and steam and they worked well. This would be great at closer to $600

So i recently purchased this legion go and wanted to try it because of the big screen. I love the bigger screen . I have the ROG ally and i use that also but the different is the VRR and yes it does make a difference with multiplayer like for call of duty. Hopefully the next version they will add it and maybe bigger screen like the new onexplayer thats coming out with a 10” . I will suggest to get a 100w battery pack if you are traveling with this

I like it much more than the Steam Deck and ROG Ally. The big screen with detachable controllers, and the fps/mouse mode get it the win. While at the desk I have mine running through an eGPU via Thunderbolt and the performance is awesome on an external 1080p or 1440p monitor, with the right GPU. RTX 4060 seems to be plenty.

Works fantastic for such a small package. The screen is crisp and the controlers handle smoothly. A big draw back though is the power draw, it definitely sucks battery at max settings. Purchasing a battery extender certainly isnt a bad plan if you plan to be mobile.

not exactly user friendly if you aren't decent with computers i might recommend something else. that being said its powerful lots of interesting features. the battery will drain fast running more intensive games but it runs them beautifully.

Okay, this thing turned out to be an amazing gadget. At first, I have to admit that i went in skeptical about trying it. Please, do not go by what others say about it. This thing is really an amazing gaming device. One of the things that stand out. Omg, the screen. It is simply gorgeous. Games play good, despite it not having VRR. It is really stupid fast. It hardly gets hot. It is true, the fan does turn on, however, it is hardly audible. One thing for sure, you need to be computer savvy in order to get it to work the way you'd like to, because just simply, this is a tiny computer power house. If you’re on the fence about it, don't be, just try it. I'm pretty sure you won't regret getting it. Ps, it does have some quircks, that with time, lenovo for sure will iron out. Another thing, the controllers need some time to get used to. I love the fact that you can take them off, just in case any of them brake down, it will be easy to replace. I'm extremely satisfied with it. This puts a smile on my face every time i'm on it. I feel like a kid again. An older kid. Thank you Lenovo.

I'm am really enjoying the versatility of this device. I am able to play games from any source. Charging it is easy due to the 2 USBC ports. My only real complaint is the weight of the device combined with the shape of the controllers makes it uncomfortable to hold. I was able to get a silicone shell that makes it easier to hold and smooths the edges of the controllers. The sound is also not great but I am not bothered by that overall.

Bought this for my son - he loves it! Greta performance! Screen size is perfect. Loves that the joysticks come off - can use them with adapter to turn joystick into mouse - both joysticks off and you have a tablet. Carry case has hidden built-in pocket to charge device while being stored. Overall, awesome purchase!

I also own a Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally, so I do have other handheld PCs to compare to. Advantages: - 2560x1600p144 screen - Slightly bigger 49.2Wh battery - Detachable controllers like a Nintendo Switch - Controllers use hall-effect joysticks - Two USB-C (USB 4.0) ports on the top and the bottom of the device - Unexpectedly lightweight Disadvantages: - Screen does not have a Variable Refresh Rate (e.g. AMD FreeSync) capability so if your FPS varies in certain games more often than not, it will be noticeable - The Xbox controller View and Menu buttons are on oriented on the left joystick, which can be jarring for those used to the Xbox/PlayStation controller layouts - The casing it comes with does not come with a compartment to store the AC adapter/charger - Legion Space software feels like it's still in early stages, especially when compared to the Steam Deck's SteamOS built-in overlay and the ROG Ally's version of Armory Crate (SE) I would still recommend this handheld PC as it does have a bigger screen compared to the ROG Ally and is much more performant compared to the Steam Deck at 15W TDP.

Being a owner of both legion go and asus rog ally, the legion go feels better to game on. Big screen can be a plus or minus when traveling but legion seems to run games better. Setup time with up dating legion was long and ran fine after updates. Haven't used the controllers detached, but looks promising with shooters.
