The Z1 extreme version of the Legion Go S is like a supercharged steam deck. One thing I wish it had was a slightly larger battery though. The extra horsepower also makes docked play more enjoyable.

Was not really into gaming on a pc or other devices but loving this Not to heavy easy to chill on couch and play great performance and screen

Steam OS is crisp and fast. Feels great in your hands. Battery life could be better. Overall, it is a great product.

for me this was an amazing device the grips, device size, responsiveness, layout, IPS panel, plus the steamos was great so no bloated windows. with steamos being bases on linux you do lose out on some games but that wasnt a deal breaker for me. only 2 downsides for me was the tiny trackpad my hands are not that small lol, and the battery life/size older/indie games was fine but when it comes to the newer higher end games will drain its battery really quick. some games would only get an hour and a half before it died. if i was only using it at home where i had access to chargers i would have kept it easily. all in all it was a great little device and looking forward to what these device can achieve in the future.

Well, its really nice looking and the screen is quite nice but thats all it has going for it. Steam OS is prohibitive if you have gamepass. The plastic body is uncomfortable and slippery plastic grips make it a chore to hold. It is mot ergonomic. The battery is absolutely atrocious. Like an hour if youre lucky due to be large OLED and small battery. I returned it. Going to try the rog ally x.

In my opinion, this is the device to get (when on sale, I got mine for $650). I just wish they put a larger battery in it. 55wt is not enough, especially considering how big it is. However, Im still figuring out how to tweak the settings, to get longer run time. I’ve been getting an hour to an hour and a half and I haven’t even been playing AAA games. That being said, i bought a switch 2, and I wish i would have saved the money. I could have bought 50 games on the Steam store with that lol. I love experiencing all the games that I was unable to play on Nintendo (my first steam/pc gaming device). All in all I’m happy with my purchase. Now I just need to figure out emulation.

This little things is actually lighter than I expected. It has a ton of power to play modern PC games on the go. Only downsides are the honestly terrible trackpad and battery life.

I own the original Legion Go, so I was a little hesitant about picking up the Legion Go S, especially since it runs SteamOS instead of Windows. After spending time with it though, I honestly use the Go S more than my OG Legion Go now. The first thing I noticed was the comfort. The grips on the Legion Go S feel much better in the hands, especially during longer gaming sessions. Battery life is also improved, which makes a bigger difference than I expected when gaming on the go. The 32GB of RAM definitely helps as well. Games feel smoother overall, and heavier titles seem to benefit from the extra memory headroom. One thing that is a game changer was how good the sleep function is. On the Windows-based Legion Go, sleep straight up doesn't work, but on the Go S it works exactly how you’d want it to. I can put it to sleep, come back later, and jump right back into a game without issues. That alone has been a huge quality-of-life improvement. I was unsure about SteamOS at first since I was used to Windows, but it grew on me quickly. It’s simple, fast, and very focused on gaming. Less setup, less tinkering, just turn it on and play. Because of that, I find myself reaching for the Legion Go S more often. If you already own the original Legion Go, this isn’t a mandatory upgrade. But if comfort, better battery life, a solid sleep function, and a more console-like experience matter to you, the Legion Go S is a great option. Cons: Mouse touchpad is absolutely horrible. I also don't really like the placement for the 2 USB C ports on top. They're a little too close for larger dongles, making one unusable.

This in my opinion is the best handheld on the market as of now. Definitely worth it. Has made me start gaming a lot more. From the ergonomics to the ease of use and power. This thing has loaded every game I've thrown at it right up and played amazing with little to no tweaks.

It is working as I expected. The only thing that I don't like is the battery. It last 1hr. Other than that, it is good handle for me.

The Legion Go S Z1 extreme version is a great device. SteamOS is well optimized and I get great performance on almost every game I play. The device has pretty good ergonomics. The only con is the D-pad, it is not as a good as other controllers.

I really enjoy this device. Honestly the fan noise isn’t nearly as loud as people complain about and considering I don’t play too far from an outlet, battery life is great. My gaming time is between 2-4 hours at most and the charging is super quick. I think if you’re waffling between steamos or windows, just know the software is going to keep updating and approving. So I think it’s perfect. Are their certain triple A games you might not be able to play on this? Sure but then you should get the other or the rog ally if you want windows. For the games I play and enjoy, this works perfectly and honestly a device I can game on for years into the future. I feel safe playing on this device versus the Xbox rog ally or the legion go 2. This is a happy upgrade from the switch. I could have gotten the steam deck for a lower price but I think this is like having the steam deck 2. You really don’t need oled when the screen looks this good.

Perfer steamos to windows more simple still have a desktop mode. System with 32 ram seems to play most my games fairly well. Like the bigger screen and feel of this. Own a steam deck and rog ally with the z1e but only 16gb of ram and prefer this to both of them.

Thing is amazing had a PlayStation portal that was not cutting it. Got this thing and love it. Playing witcher 3, overwatch and rocket league no problems. Great wifi performance. Better than when gaming on my gaming laptop which I usually have to use Ethernet for. This thing not an issue rarely get ping stuttering. Love it. Did buy at 650. Which I think is the true fair value. But with current memory pricing I may have gotten a steal.

This bad boy cooks so much harder than a steam deck. I would buy this 10x over a steamdeck. The screen size is worth it alone

Wanted this as an upgrade to my Steam Deck OLED — bigger screen and more RAM is noticeable. Its definitely a beefier device than the Deck, but its so comfortable to hold that you’d never notice. Only complaint is that there aren’t many accessories for it, particularly cases, which makes transporting it a little bit of a pain.

The Legion Go with the Z1 Extreme is a cool device and definitely powerful for a handheld. The screen looks nice and games run well, but the battery drains pretty fast and it feels a little big to carry around. I like that it runs steam OS, definitely makes for a console like experience ,but sometimes the controls and menus don’t feel as smooth as they should. Overall, I like it, but I’m not blown away.

Honestly, this thing is a little beast, it really is powerful. I've used it at all sort of places, usually while travelling for business and it has never let me down, with the correct settings, you can usually squeeze a lot of battery out of it and get pretty decent performance on top class games. The ability to double boot windows11 on it for xbox gamepass is invaluable.

I was really surprised by the performance this offered. I had a Ally X but sold it and missed having a handheld so got this. It out performs it and also the screen size is a big upgrade too.

Great Black Friday deal for the performance. With steamOS this is my favorite handheld!!
