Powerful handheld
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great device. I got the 32GB model and it has ran everything I've thrown at it. GoW Ragnarok defaulted to medium settings and ran smooth as butter. I only took off a star for 2 reasons. First, the speaker seems low quality. That may just be a driver issue, but voices in AAA games sounded a bit low, when with the volume turned all the way up. Games with no dialogue sounded fine. Second, the fan is loud, very loud. If you are sensitive to that kind of thing it would be noticable. I've read that you can disable performance mode to avoid it kicking up max RPM, but the extra power over the stream deck is kind of the point, so I haven't done it. Still, love the device overall and would recommend.

Love it, but software needs updating
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK, so first impressions are “wow this thing is light”, and the screen is massive! I love the button feel and the hair triggers. Coming from a steam deck I don’t miss the two additional back paddles, the two that they have are better placed, and more than I need. Playing games it runs very well, but oddly not as as well as as the ROG Ally X on some occasions, such as Oblivion Remastered. As for my dislikes, the software is not fully ready on steam OS; I never was able to get the RGB to work, and right out of the box, the touchpad didn’t work until I received an update. Overall, this is great, however if you’re in the market for a handheld like this, I would hold out until the Z2 extreme chip set releases as the price will be the same, but you’ll get better performance down the road

What the Legion Go should have been.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An excellent update to the Legion Go. Just like Asus they learned the increase in Ram and keeping the resolution normal helps with performance. I have been playing primarily on the Legion Go S since getting it, my Ally X and Steam Deck have been collecting dust. Also the change from 2242 ssd to 2280 is a welcome change, can use up to 8tb nvme. Paired with a 2tb micro sd and you have a 10tb portable gaming beast.

The overall use experience so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From my experience of usinging it, the Lenovo Legion Go S SteamOS preforms well. Nice to use and having steam is nice to use. Only major problems with it, is that the right joystick is a little to close tot eh screen. So when you full tilt to the left your thumb could touch the screen and cuase a mouse click, but that’s a user error. Otherwise the fans are louder than most handheld PC but the device never over heated. You can connect bluetooth controller to it like an xbox controller, but note that the controller might need an update to work on the device. Then to go into the controller layout when connected to put on a Desktop layout for it if you are planning on using the controller in desktop mode. It does not auto assign one to it, but you are free to customes the buttons to your heart content.

Great Product!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn’t think I would use it every day. Looks great, responsive, runs quiet and doesnt overheat. Only thing that might be a tiny issue is the battery life. But thats to be expected. Overall very much worth the purchase.

Great handheld
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it on sale for Black Friday and I will it handles all the games that I throw at it. The fans actually don’t bother me as others say in their reviews but the battery life does suck so I have to play with the charger plugged in. I will say if this device had a larger touchpad it would be amazing

Excellent device. Weak battery.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Legion is an excellent device only held back by its battery. It's comfortable, the dpad and thumbsticks are excellent, and the buttons feel good. It even has the option to let you switch how the trigger works; something no other Handheld has. The only issue is the weak battery. If it was 70-80 watt, it would be perfect. Literally perfect.

Posted .Hi,
Thanks for choosing Lenovo and for sharing your feedback with us!
We are glad to read that you are satisfied with your purchase overall. We appreciate your input regarding the battery size. Given the goal to keep the system on the lighter and thinner side, along with reducing cost for this handheld segment, as smaller than 70-80Wh battery is used. This has been noted, as it may be considered as a point for future improvements.

Truly amazing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I rarely take the time to write a review for a product unless the product was so bad that i felt i should warn other possible buyers. But this product is so good i feel anyone and everyone should be aware. Outstanding performance delivered by solid hardware and a gaming focused Operating system. This thing has reinvigorated my love of gaming and i play games now more that i have in a long time. Great for playing in bed, great for playing at a friends house, great when connected to the tv in performance mode and great on a flight in low power mode.

Good foundation
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There’s a lot to like with this device. Unfortunately the battery is holding this thing back. Unless you are using 15w tdp or less the battery life is 1 hour on a good day running mid AAA titles. 800p looks terrible on a 8 inch 1200p display and running 1200p will only get you 30fps and 1-1.5 hours of battery. The battery tech is a problem in all pc handhelds so I’ll be waiting a few more years before I’m all in on handhelds. Side note: these fans are crazy loud at 20w tdp and up.

Best handheld on the market
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome handheld! I ditched my steam deck and og LeGo. I compared this to the LeGo 2 Z2 extreme and still come back to the GoS. It’s an amazingly balanced system

Broken things
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cant say I dont love this device, the screen and performance are better than my Rog Ally X in fact ever since I purchased this device I havent touched the Rog Ally X even if I cant play my Gamepass games natively. Sadly tomorrow I will be returning my Legion Go S, this is the second time. The first device I purchased had a crooked left joystick and my second purchase now I noticed has something loose inside, everytime I move I can hear it banging around inside. Like broken plastic or metal, its driving me crazy. For $900.00 it should be issue free out the box. Lenovo please fix your product quality. Steam Os is amazing and easy to use its too bad that I feel I received two Lemons. I will be buying an MSI Claw 8 AI, here’s to hoping for a Lemon free experience.

Stellar, just not for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.New to these types of systems. Just didn’t like the overall gaming “pc” feel coming from consoles. Everything felt nice though, battery drained constantly and super loud fan but overall nice! Ended up returning.
