This did not disappoint and with it already having steamos i wont have to go through the trouble of removing the windows os. Size is just right for couch gaming. Battery life and fan noise are the only gripes i have with this.
I would recommend this to a friend Pc handhelds just aren’t worth the $$$

Over priced

It feels cheaply made, its uncomfortable to hold if you dont have large hands, there is no built in kick stand, no HDMI port, i prefer my Legion Go first edition. I returned this the next day.

We wish to clarify that neither the Legion Go or Legion Go S feature an HDMI port, but two USB-C ports that can be adapter to HDMI. We appreciate your comments regarding the ergonomics and omission of a kickstand. The Legion Go S was designed to be lighter and more comfortable than the Legion Go based on user feedback, and with no detachable controllers, a kickstand was no longer as important.

What a great handheld PC with SteamOS.

Windows is definitely the drawback of these pc handhelds. SteamOS pretty much resolves all issues. I mainly game on steam when on PC so it works for me. This thing is great in hand and has great specs. I believe because of tariffs the price got raised which sucks but what can you do. The price is a hard pill to swallow. Id rather have this than ROG ally X windows edition only because of windows being an issue. I like that I can run games like octopath traveler 2, bravely default, dragon quest 3 hd 2d remake on like max settings and other games like stellar blade, dead space remake, cyberpunk run quite well. I use this and my switch 2 for handheld gaming. To me idc this doesnt have an hdmi port or anything because I bought it soley to be able to play handheld. Battery is like comparable to switch 2 its decent not anything mindblowing.

Steam Deck 2.0
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Lenovo Legion Go S Steam OS with 32GB RAM and the Z1 Extreme Processor is such a HUGE step up in handheld PC gaming! PROS - (1) Comfortable to hold for my XL glove-sized hands, (2) Can run any game I've thrown at it like Remnant 2, Oblivion Remastered, and Black Myth Wukong (50 FPS is Myth on Medium settings and downloads in the background). (3) Big 8" VRR display looks bright and I don't miss my Steam Deck OLED at all! (4) The tiny trackpad: Lemme explain. I never used my Steam Deck OLED trackpad, so I much prefer the trackpack on this is tiny and out of the way. (5) Expandable Storage! I installed a Samsung 990 PRO SSD 4TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 internal SSD including a micro SD gets me 3.6 TB + 1.8 TB = 5.4TB usable storage. (6) Dark purple handheld grips look great. CONS: I can only think of one: The price. It was $960 Console + $300 warranty + $300 for the SSD + $50 for a grip, thumb pads, screen protector, TV Dock. CONCLUSION: I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone looking for an upgrade especially over the Steam Deck; Steam Deck is still a good console, I enjoyed my time with it, but games I wanted to play were often too graphically intense for the Deck to handle--thankfully the Legion Go S stepped up!
