it hummed during initial charging, and never worked in our AT&T cordless phone, even though it seemed to be the correct battery in every way, so it must be defective.

Didn't realize this was a "refurnished" battery when I bought it. Turns out to be only slightly better that the 3 yr old one I replaced - poor range, short life.

Great battery, but not Lithium Ion (NIMH)

Holds charge longer (approximately 5 days) than original batteries that came with the phone. However I would have preferred Lithium Ion, which is what I thought I was purchasing (website has wrong info). They're actually NIMH. Anyway, had them a couple of weeks now, and so far so good.
