I bought this battery to replace my OEM battery for my camcorder. I charged it and it ran great in my camcorder. Eventually, the battery ran down so I tried to charge it again. After this charge the battery would no longer power the camcorder for longer than 2 minutes at a time. Luckily, they do have a 1 year warranty on the product, so they replaced it for 7.50 shipping and handling.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great generic brand battery

I used it as backup battery for my Panasonic Camcorder during my oversea trip. Work great. Hold charges for a little over 2 hours of continuous recording and playback from a full charge. I recommend it for its price and value.
