I got this with the intent of using it for taking it around with me to college and for entertainment purposes when I am out and I know I will be bored, here is my review of the product which I eventually returned, reasons why will follow. The Good: it is well constructed despite "only" being plastic, the laptop feels solid in hand and is very lightweight, typing on the keyboard is also a pleasure, with soft and quiet keystrokes this won't be annoying in a quiet setting. The storage while limited to its 32gb internal storage, it can be expanded, I used a 64gb micro sd card without trouble, I even ran World of Warcraft on it via the micro SD card slot but performance as you could expect, was nothing to write home about. The screen is a double edged blade here and so I will talk about the good part of it, it is bright and very crisp. System performance was not laggy, in fact I think Windows and runnign basic applications will feel quicker on this than the "budget" laptops with slower 5,400rpm hard drives, but it is not as fast as a true ssd. The battery is great, full brightness streaming youtube for 3 hours constant drained it to about 55% remaining. The bad: I mentioned the screen being crisp and bright, so why is this a con? Well it is not the sharpness that is a problem but rather the color accuracy, it is bad, I mean really bad. I uploaded two pictures with the Lenovo side by side to some other cheap windows tablet that had superior color reproduction. This was on max brightness, the blacks were washed out and red at times was kind of purple like, while not important for school work, it wade watching movies and videos not as pleasing as it should have been. Also an important thing to note is that the touch pad does NOT support scrolling, as in no multi-touch support, you will have to use the arrow keys or a mouse for that, and this made me not keep the laptop, for me in class to be able to scroll over charts or larger documents, it proved to be too much of a hassle. Verdict: Yes I would recommend it to people looking for a laptop to do less video watching but if you do any media consumption, I will suggest the netbooks of other brands which had better screens and scrolling ability. Again the deal that killed it for me was no scrolling on the touch pad.

This was a Black Friday special. Pity I could only buy one. Light weight but definitely no lightweight in functionality. Perfect for traveling or when I don't want to lug out my heavy laptop. If there is a drawback, it's the notification at start up of 96% cloud full, but since I have an external memory drive I don't worry about that.

Great "Netbook" Laptop, Great Price Point

We have had this a month now and I have used it fairly regularly at least once a day. This low end laptop (basically what used to be called a netbook) is quite functional for its intended purpose and great low price point. No gaming, no heavy multi-tasking, etc. If you want to edit documents it works perfect. If you want to surf the web, it is beyond what I expected and has supported well over 8 tabs with two separate windows even (enough to do normal day email, purchase research, kids school research, etc.). Speakers are not a strength but do work okay (recommend headphones). The HDMI interface worked well though we did have to adjust the default resolution to match 1080p (it defaulted to 720p) and was smoothest while ONLY doing a single display to the TV (was a little lagging when doing dual screen or mirrored). Videos play smoothly, but again don't expect multi-tasking. With the very small eMMC (32 GB) expect to use thumb drives, cloud or NAS for files--again this is really a newer concept of a Netbook. Size is great and it is sturdy in construction (I am not worried about breaking it when we take it on a trip--we have already done it once). Complaints: 1) Airplane mode button does not work (though it did have one, which is a plus over other similar products). 2) WiFi does not seem to get full N speeds (max speed we have seen "connected at" is 72 Mbps while other devices are at 300 or 150, etc. Normally (most often) it connects at 65 Mbps. Not sure if this is a defect in our specific unit. It has not been a problem so we will probably not worry about it. 3) Says it comes with 1 year of Office 365, however, there was no insert, etc. so we are still trying to track that down (basically don't count on it at this point is what I would recommend to others). 4) Don't expect web cam to do much--VGA. It does have nice microphone setup though. This wasn't an issue for us as we did NOT expect it (since it spec at 0.3 MP) and was not the intended usage. However, could be an issue for a college/other kid using it. Definitely recommend this product. Hope this was helpful for you!

Got this on Black Friday for $99. It's surprising capable for a $99 laptop. Sure, it's cheap, but it's light and the form factor is great. Performance is mostly OK but will occasionally slow loading intense websites. Keyboard is decent but the display is pretty terrible. It also doesn't support two finger scrolling which is a big bummer. But again, it was $99. All in all, if you're looking for a super affordable laptop for casual use, this will do just fine.

It was black friday, cold and raining. It was my first time to wait in line during black friday for this item as a gift for my wife. Waited in line 7am in front of best buy and I was 14th in line and got a ticket to buy this item for 99$ :). The laptop does not have that much storage so I don't recommend putting a lot of files or apps. I bought a separate 64gb sd for 15$ for additional capacity. My wife really likes it. It's thin and light and does the basic thing she needs, browsing, watching, and has free ms office for a year.

This laptop is perfect for kids or beginners. It is small and light. It is perfect for streaming movies, kids games, or educational programs. It doesn't have lots of memory, so you'll have to save your stuff on the cloud or USB. You also can't download tons of apps or use it as a back up, because it doesn't have lots of memory.

This is a small and very light windows notebook computer. It is adequate for surfing the web, watching media and dealing with email and other forms of messaging. The processor and limited memory make it slow at large or cpu intensive applications. I carry mine around every where and it has held up well. A full charge will last me through the day.

Although it's advertised as a 'Laptop', it should be listed as a Netbook. It's great for Internet browsing & basic MSOffice use. Price point is great, can't touch Office H&S edition along with Windows 10 for the price... Let alone with hardware. It's also offers great performance for crafting hardware&software. Overall, very happy with the buy.

I go this little laptop for a great price on a black Friday Sale. If you have realistic expectations and take price into consideration, it is great. It works nicely for internet and word processing, etc. It is lightweight, has good battery life, and works fine. The screen isn't the best, but it is fine, and it can get bogged down if you try to do too much, but for a nice travel/basic laptop, it is great.

Bought this as a 2nd laptop for my wife. Has Windows 10 installed and had a 1 yr subscription to Office 365, which are huge values. The hard drive is small and the screen resolution not the best, but this is more than needed for many uses and we both agree it was an excellent buy for the price ($100 on sale). I met someone shopping for laptops at Target and suggested he go to BestBuy - he did. i would recommend this as a backup laptop, although the small storage necessitates expansion for developers.

I purchased this laptop on black friday for $99 for my children. It is an awesome laptop to use for minimum surfing, browsing on the web and streaming. The use it for many educational sites to practice math and seems to work just fine so far. It's small and easy to store and commute with. Not a lot of storage but enough for children. It's a good laptop for short term use.
