Useful as a word processor

This one fits the bill...but opening programs is a waiting game: Pentium "Gold"? It should do the job, however. Nice to have a Lenovo that's much easier to configure than a ThinkPad I had five years ago. Stick to simple enough tasks, and this IdeaPad should not disappoint.

It is not meant for multi-tasking or demanding programs. It is good for Microsoft Office and light internet browsing. If this describes your computing needs, the IdeaPad 2 in 1 14" laptop would be a good choice.

Could definitely use more ram (random access memory. What that’s meaning is how fast the computer is running overall for programs. No matter what anyone says more the better. Average user 8 gb is minimum in my opinion

The fact that it turns into a tablet is a plus. Beside some windows issues, which sadly are normal for windows now, it’s an awesome product.

This system has Lenovo utilities installed that can help you maintain the health of the device and keep software updated. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window. Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up.

Great Laptop For The Price

This was definitely it for me. It runs my Rosetta Stone, and old computer games really great. I love that I can fold it in half in tablet mode, and make notes with the "ink pen." I bought a case to go with it, so when I leave for lunch I can take it with me to browse the web, or whatever I need to do remotely. I even have let friends borrow it who have also ended up purchasing the same laptop. It's pretty awesome, and you should check it out. If you're not a heavy gamer or online type of person it will work for you.
