Start up takes a little longer but once it is booted, see no other performance issue. Reimage to SSD would definite improve the boot up time.

The AMD A12 7th Gen is more than adequate to handle what I use it for!. As a strong plus the Raedon graphics are prefect and even better when you adjust the settings for optimal viewing!..

15" AMD12 Lenovo laptop

Be ready to multi-task because the updates take a long, long, long time. Boot time is a bit lengthy compared to other laptop. Other than that I haven't had any issues. Good value for what is underneath the hood.

Like the matte finish on a cosmetic note. Bought two of them for kids to do school work and reports. Of course, the kids have been testing them with gaming over the summer.

With regard to learning your way around Windows 10, you may want to try YouTube.com (just type that address in your browser address window). There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free.

To extend the battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life. The noise you hear when running the system is most likely the fan. This is a powerful system and it generates heat, even at idle. The fan needs so run to maintain the normal operating temperature of the system. This is normal.

It was easy to set up although it seems to take a long time to download everything it needed to initially. My only complaint is that the key pad is very touchy and will take some time to get use to. It seems to be a good value.

Windows 10 and Microsoft edge are not that great. they have a lot of bugs that will hopefully be fixed with future updates. But I do like the lap top itself, it serves it's purpose for our simple daily use of checking emails and printing documents.
