The computer had great performance but the harddrive made loud reading noises reminiscent of a desktop I had 20 years ago even when I wasn't working on it. The fan was loud and worked continuously. If you can deal with the noise, everything else is great. I sadly cannot and had to take it back.

this was a no brainer purchase. great amount of memory and a fast processor for a reasonable price.

I needed a new laptop and this Lenovo was what the doctor ordered! My expectations are not that high, I use the laptop basically to surf the internet, email, and some word processing, etc. This is perfect for that and I am very happy with the purchase. They say it's good for gaming as well but I won't comment on that. I got it at a really great price and I am very happy with this purchase. Yes, I recommend this laptop.

The laptop itself is reliably fast. You normally can't find a laptop that runs at 2.7 GHz and has 8 Gigabytes of RAM for under $400. The display and the audio is good- I have no complaints for either. However, the battery life is reported to have 2 hours of use if I hover the mouse over the battery icon. When I apply some battery saving procedures, the battery life is reported to be 3 hours long. This is well below the advertised 5 hour battery life in the 'specifications' tab of this page. However, I did buy the "Open Box: Excellent- Geek Squad Certified" version of this laptop, so that might have something to do with the decreased battery life.

I purchase this laptop on black Friday Sale computer just arrived Dec. 06 Fan noise is not too bad, was not an issue for me but, it also has a soft HD clicking noise. laptop crashed on Dec. 08 during windows update. froze and then died, now I cant get it to start again. Downloaded recovery media from lenovo support. the recovery process start installing but it freezes again when is about 95 % and never finished. Recovery has been running for 15 hrs now and still doesn't start. It seems like defective HD. The Specifications on the laptop are great and it looks pretty good in the outside but, the inside might be full of cheap components. can't say anything about performance because I never have the chance to test it. going to BB to return it as soon as I can make it to the store

I was looking for a new laptop. Reviewing what was on sale for black friday, and started reviewing what features it had. And for the price, I tried getting one on black friday. Battery could hold a charge a little longer than it does. That is the only complaint at this time.

Super fast, huge hard drive Win 10 without much junk software. Could not be more pleased.

This machine performs well and looks pretty decent, the only thing I'm not sure about is the fan comes on real loud at times, don't know why it seems to be working so hard, but otherwise a nice machine for the money.

Good product at a good price. Looked hard in many places and found this to be a Good Buy. I am happy with my purchase and the way the product performs. Manager on duty was both helpful and knowledgeable. I will be going back to Best Buy soon to look for a new TV.

We purchased this for our one college student. It works well for what he needs and was a good price so I don't worry that if he loses or breaks it that it would be a huge loss. It runs a bit loud though and feels a bit cheap. But it's great for a kid or student.

I got this laptop for my kids for their birthday. I was a bit hesitant about the price, but the AMD CPU was rated highly when compared to Intel's i5 mobile chip. The laptop runs really well, quiet, and runs many of the games my kids like smoothly. It's about $200 cheaper than most, and that's because the screen isn't the greatest, but it's a great first laptop for my kids to learn on.

I bought the laptop like a month ago and I`m very happy with it, I use it for my University online and so far is working very good. I like Cortana is fun, I can speak my Spanglish and understand pretty good, what else I can say; oh the battery don't last to much but I don't care because I use it at home must of the time and I can charge it anytime I want. For the price is a nice buy !

I have yet to boot this computer up, and this is the first time buying a Lenovo. However, if all the comments hold true this should be a good first computer for my daughter to use in high school and first couple years of college and you can't beat the price.

I purchased this laptop because my older one was having some problems. This isn’t a high-end laptop but I got it for a great price and it serves my purposes just fine. Others have noted the display is dim, and that is something that I have noticed as well.
