This laptop has been wonderful. As a CS major my son needed a faster replacement for his old laptop. The i5's fit our current budget and Lenovo brands were rated highly. With this one on sale, we couldn't resist. My son loves it and it's worked perfectly for his current needs.

I bought this laptop because I started a class on Monday and my last laptop died on Saturday. It is an average laptop, I would definitely buy another. The only reason why I give 4 stars is because the battery life is horrible. It doesn't even last a full day. Granted, I purchased this laptop open box, so who knows how long the first owner had it, and a battery isn't a huge purchase, you just never expect to have to buy one so soon.

I needed a replacement for my ASUS laptop so I bought this one. After 3 years of daily use my old laptop was winding down. I had some reservations about buying a Lenovo based on experiences a family member had with one of their cheaper models, but I have to say this laptop has exceeded my expectations! The screen is huge so it’s great for watching tv or movies. It’s got enough ram for me to use multiple programs at the same time. My only gripe is that the power button is one of the keys on the keyboard. I’d rather have it be embedded in the keyboard so I can’t accidently turn off the computer.

The screen is nice and big. I have two complaints: 1st, there are only 2 USB ports. 2nd the upper row keys, to use the F3, F4 etc, I must press the 'fn' key first. Because of this, I purchased a normal keyboard. Other keyboards I have do not require this.

I got this when it was on sale for 429. For that price this machine has everything I need and then some. It would be nice if it had an additional USB port or two, but otherwise, i perfect. I haven't been able to find a better value than this.

Love the huge screen and 10key. Ok not issue I've had is a small crack in the bezel of the monitor. I heard and felt it happen when i picked up the closed laptop with 1 hand. Doesn't affect performance.

I wanted to replace my old Lenovo with something newer, without breaking the bank - this laptop absolutely did that. It's a huge laptop, which I didn't realize when ordering, but I've gotten used to it. It's a little slow to boot, but not too bad and is zippy when doing anything. The only thing I miss is the trackpoint from my old Thinkpad, but this is really a great machine for the price - especially if it's on sale.

I was definitely attracted to this laptop because of the 17” screen. I also didn’t need a high power gaming machine. The main reason I purchased this laptop was the price and the fact that Steam abandoned all users of Windows XP. I had a desktop with Windows XP that I used for gaming through Steam. I found that older games ran well in that environment. So when Steam abandoned me I had a lot of older games that did not require a powerhouse machine. I’ve been quite pleased with the Leveno’s ability to run these games and since it has Windows 10 installed it is still compatible with the Steam client (for now at least). The laptop also runs smoothly and has great sound. I couldn’t be happier.

I replaced the 1TB HDD with a 250GB SSD, and installed Linux Mint 19 and a couldn't ask for much more performance-wise from a machine in this price range. It would have been great if a smaller SSD was included instead of the big HDD in the first place. The 17" screen is great for my aging eyes, but many would probably want more resolution on a screen of this size. For my purposes, it will be great.

I've always been an HP guy, but this really blows my last HP away! It's fast, big screen, and the number key-board is nice to use! It was a win-win for me ... oh, and I got it on sale ... Score!

Purchased laptop for home business use for word processing. Screen is great size and keyboard works very well. Because of document usage a mouse was purchased too. Fast enough processor for my use.

Great laptop for travel use. I love the ease of use and the keyboard is a soft touch and makes no noise. 17 inch screen is bright and clear .

This laptop has all the bells and whistles I need to be able to perform. I love the bigger screen and the clarity is incredible. The speed is great also, to keep up with my performance.

I love the screen on this laptop, it is so much easier to see. It is a fast laptop and works for me.

For the price of I got for a Lenovo , I was impressed. 1Tb 64Ghz of RAM. Hp gave me the blue screen of death before I got the Lenovo. For the same specs, Hp was twice as much.

I like this computer. The price was excellent and everything works. I fast enough for me. The display is really good and everything works as advertised. I recommend it.

I love it. I have found it very easy to learn my way around it. I am very please with the speed and storage capacity as well as all of the applications loaded on it.

The screen is huge! Bought this for our site supervisor on a job site and it works very well. He loves the screen size. At less than $500, it’s well worth the buy.

the screen is the perfect size to meet my needs. the keyboard is sensitive and the slightest tap helps me with my arthritic hands. I love it It makes typing a dream.

I replaced a 10 year old Dell laptop- 17 inch screen. It is amazing the advancement in technology over the 10 years. This was the only laptop with 17 inch screen that I could find with the features that I wanted, including disc drive. Eighth generation i5 processor is fast enough for my needs,. Sales clerk was also helpful in reinforcing my choice of this laptop after I discussed the features I wanted.
