finally got a laptop that i was looking for

I often have to get up from my computer to do something, often for more than a hour. I come back and the computer will not start again sometimes so I have to restart everything again.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Edge 2. With regard to your system going to sleep when you walk away, check your settings in the control panel. Look at when the system goes to sleep without any activity. Turn that off or set it to a longer time.

The problem seemed to be when using the mouse while in outlook the pointer seems to highlight changes to settings that are not intended by us. This is very frustrating. Other than that we like our choice for size features.

Slow startup and buggy performance

Posted .You can adjust your touchpad by going to the start menu, type "touchpad" in the search window. Hit enter. A new window will open where you can make adjustments to the touchpad. The Hibernation issue sound like a driver issue. You can follow the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers and look for new driver updates for your specific system. Be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes or download any new software to your system. Here's the link to the drivers:

But the store ran out of stock on the one we selected, and the saleman suggested us to go for the newer version, which costed $120.00 more. It works for most of its purpose, but nothing special. On the 15th day, it crashed twice with blue screen, and we took it to Best Buy the next day. They would not take it back, exchange, or fix it without charge -- claiming software issues were not under warantee.
