I Returned it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Lenovo in the past so I loved it so it was a brainer when I wanted to purchase another one. The performance when it came to my DJ software was terrible. the Lenovo T410 with the DJ software running was using only 1% to 5% processor recourses. This one was up to 80%. I got many video card errors memory errors. Called Lenovo and they told me it was all driver issues and to use older drivers. I tried that foe a week but still had too many issues. Had to bail out... I don't understand how a i5 laptop from 5+ years ago can out preform a laptop with a i7 6 gen processor?

Solid Performer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After comparing a dozen laptops in this price range this was the obvious choice. Very good build quality, professional looking. Was surprised that I could play some newer games on med-high settings, many other laptops at this price did not have dedicated video memory. I have experienced some issues with programs lagging when launched but I believe it's a Windows 10 issue. Also be aware that as of right now you cannot upgrade the RAM beyond 8Gb because there is only one memory slot but I have not felt that it was not enough. SSD would be a nice upgrade though. Doesn't get very hot, keyboard has a nice feel.

Great computer, drivers can use some work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, this is a great computer and I have been using it consistently for about 2 months now. Pros: the hardware is great so far - I love that this computer has a number pad, and that the screen can rotate 360 degrees (although I don't see myself using this too often). The touchscreen works great, the screen and pixel quality are excellent. The keyboard and the multi-touch keypad work very well. The operating system is very fast and the computer has a great amount of hard drive space. This computer has all the specs I wanted in a computer with the exception of an 8 GB SSD. I was also impressed with how thin the computer is overall. Cons: I don't have too many cons for this computer, but there are a couple of them. I don't necessarily think this is due to any hardware issues, mainly Windows 10 and driver issues. Initially I had issues with my wi-fi card and my Intel HD graphics card. The wi-fi would cut out randomly and the graphics card would too (although it would recover by itself). After some investigation I found that the drivers on Lenovo's website are not the most up to date drivers. The drivers they had were from when Windows 10 was initially released. I found more updated drivers here for the wi-fi card: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/86068/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC-8260 and here for the graphics card: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25484/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-10-15-40-. If you go to either of these websites, I would look for an even more updated driver. I have not had the issue after updating these two drivers. So in summary, this is a great computer, but the drivers could be updated. For someone else having an issue with this computer, I would suggest trying updating the drivers first before just assuming it is the computer itself.

Great laptop in most ways. Only issue was wifi dr
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the size of the laptop and the ability to touch the screen rather than move the mouse for everything I need to do. I had a heck of a time getting the wifi set up. I bought the Lenovo and worked with their Help Desk for about an hour to try to get it to work. They concluded that there was a hardware failure. I traded it in and had the same errors, spent an hour with the help desk again and couldn't get it to work. My son looked up the problem and quickly found that the wifi driver was worthless and found instructions for locating and downloading one that would work. I had to buy a cable to connect to the Internet but it worked very well once downloaded. No wifi issues since then. My next challenge is to learn Windows 10... So far I am not a fan. But once I learn it my complaints will be nonexistent.

Excellent Laptop Meets My Needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been very pleased with this laptop. With the Intel Core i7 processor, NVidia GForce graphics, and Windows 10 it has all the processing power and graphics to do all the photo & video editing I want and handles any of the games I've wanted to play. Even though I initially didn't expect to use the tablet feature very much when I purchased it I find it very useful especially in the "tent" mode. The lack of a internal cd/dvd drive hasn't been a issue with a additional external drive and the lighter weight & slimmer profile because of the lack of internal drive it a good trade off. The only knock I have is that the battery life does seem a bit on the low side but overall not weak enough to really downgrade the overall rating. The fact that I was able to get this as a "open box" and save a good amount of $ has even added to my overall satifaction with my purchase.
