    It's a good laptop but..

The screen on this laptop stopped working within the first few months (the computer turned on but the screen was blank). I had to bring it in to get it repaired. Other than that it's a great laptop, just make sure to have some type of warranty/protection on it at all times.

    No WiFi ? Really

I bought a brand new Lenovo Edge 2 brought it home plugged it in set it up and no wifi, no internet connection. Really? I google the issue and it seems this is a MAJOR issue with Windows 10. Why would you sell a product that does not work brand new out of the box? I am no tech guru so now I have to figure out how to download an updated fix or driver to fix the issue? That or return it, it's too bad because I really liked the features on this laptop but not being able to connect to the internet right out of the box is a bad sign for me. Any help on how to fix this issue would be appreciated.

We apologize for your inconvenience with the outdated WiFi driver on your Lenovo Edge 2. Windows 10 has gone through so many updates since its initial launch that is difficult to keep up to date with drivers, once the computer is "in the box and on the retail store shelf". You can take the Ethernet cable from your home MODEM and plug it into the Ethernet port on the Edge 2. Once you are online, follow the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers. There search for networking: wireless LAN driver updates for your specific system. Before you make changes or download new software, you should create a restore point on your computer. You can find where to do this by typing "restore point" in the Cortana search window, then follow the link. Here is the link for the driver search: (NOTE: if all this is more than you want to tackle on your own, you can go back to your local Best Buy and for a fee, they will do this for you):

    Worst laptop I've ever owned.

This laptop is great spec wise but the thing is a piece of junk. The best buy salesman said this was a great laptop but it is nothing but problems. I took it into Best Buy a 2 weeks after purchasing it and told the geek squad guy my problem with it. He said since it's an intermittent problem it'd have to get sent into for repair which could take over a month. Being a full time student with online classes this would not work at all for me. The screen will randomly go black and I have to force shutting it down. I've failed tests because the instructor won't let me retake it and I've also lost papers I've typed. Worst laptop ever. I will never buy from Best Buy again if they don't give me a better solution than send it in for repairs for over a month.

Battery life is terrible. Had to send it in for replacement and they have the #1 worst customer service ever. Couldn't locate machine until I provided the fed ex tracking # then it was a continuous run around from difficult to understand call center. Kept telling me it was escalated and I would hear from them in 24-48 hours. We are on day 11 and still no word.

When in sleep mode will not come back to life. Even when following the manual instructions. This is a major pain in the back side. If had to do it again would not purchase this product.

I thought I could adjust to the battery life being so low but in the end have considered to return it. The track pad is also somewhat uncomfortable to use. The picture is nice and the speakers are pretty loud for a laptop.

From the windows 10 and Lenovo Edge quirks to the inferior Wi-Fi I am truly disappointed that this unit is more of a toy than a tool. 6 months of nearly continuous contact with geek squad and the news is that I can bring it in for two weeks to lose its use for repairs and or pay for upgrades. Strongly consider having a backup platform before taking this route. As a programmer, I should have.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Edge 2. The issue with the system not waking from sleep is a driver update issue. You can follow the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers and check for driver updates for BIOS and Power Management for your specific system. Be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes or download new software. If this is more than you want to take on yourself, contact your local Best Buy Store Geek Squad and they can do the driver updates for you, for a fee. Here is that link:

    Extremely Disappointed

I purchased this 2 in 1 to replace an old laptop. Thought I would try the 2 in 1; I like the ability to change from laptop to tablet, worked pretty smooth. Would definitely do any significant amount of typing on the actual keyboard instead of the one on the screen. A stylus barely works when selecting or trying to drag things around. I am returning it because it is much slower than my existing laptop. It also locks up while surfing just one webpage or page would just go black, do not bother to have more than one tab open. Product would just stop working, and would have to completely shut down the internet and bring it back up. At that point it would be so bogged down by something I had to do a complete reboot of the computer. Granted it was an Open Box purchase, but I would not buy this computer new.

I bought it for the look and feature. I have always had good luck with Lenovos, but I hated this laptop from the start. The screen would come up upside down, it would crash on wake up, and eventually the keyboard stopped working altogether. The speed was not impressive either. I tried all the updates, but it was stuck in tablet mode. Luckily, the nice folks at Best Buy allowed me to exchange it.

Lenovo reliablity after two months is horrible

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Purchased the Lenovo Edge 2 from Best Buy. I thought Lenovo laptops were supposed to be reliable. All was well the first two months. Now the Laptop sounds like a jet plane with the fan running on high never shutting off, the keyboard will only type the #6, the mouse pad will not work, and the power button blinks even after shut down. When I found other owners of the Lenovo Edge 2 had the same issue, I figured that Lenovo Tech Support would know what's going on. After over an hour on the phone with Lenovo, they had no clue. Now feeling that I should have purchase another Dell.

    Not happy with my Lenovo!!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

After years with Dell laptops I decide to try out a Lenovo Edge2 for my new work laptop. This was the worst move I could make. The laptop is extremely slow and continues to lock up. Applications that would start immediately on my dell will take 30-45 seconds to start on the Lenovo. Internet explorer and chrome will stop working and lock up. I use CorelDraw x8 and it takes 30 seconds to open simple small files. If I had to make the choice again I would not have picked this laptop!! SLOW and continues to freeze up. Don't make the mistake I did.
