I've noticed my screen goes black sometimes. Also, the laptop needs to be shut down completely if it happens to hibernate.

The laptop is fantastic however it was more expensive then it should have been. The price was not a fair asking price for the components in it.

I have had my laptop for about 45 days and haven't had any issues. Very happy with my purchase. I am loving the touch screen as this is my first computer with that feature. My husband is wanting a laptop and will probably buy him the same laptop.

At 81 years of age I have used many laptops over the years. When this happens you just naturally find features that stick in your mind. This is one that I found that everything about it just what I wanted. Ease of use, Lenovo special help and programs are a delight. Had to call support one time for something and had quick, friendly service. Price was right. Yes, I would recommend this one for anyone looking for quality at a good price.

The computer has good performance in both regular work and games. The processing speed is quick, it's fast to load up, and the touch screen works well. The graphics quality is good and it has no issues running multiple programs at once (word, adobe, excel, internet browsers). The touchpad is super sensitive and the cursor moves really quickly even set on the lowest setting. The power button is in a weird spot (on the side of the computer) and the computer can get shut off easily-- the screen turns off if the button is pushed and takes about 30 or seconds to come back up when the power button is pushed again.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Edge 2. With regard to the screen going dark when you accidentally touch the power button on the side of the device, it sounds like the power button is set up so that if you press it for less than 1 second, your system goes in to hibernation. You can change this function in the control panel. Once in the control panel, in the search window, type "power". Then select "Change What The Power Buttons do". In this menu you can adjust what the power button does. Set it to turn off the device only. This should stop the system going in to hibernation.

I needed a new laptop because my 5 year old one had an older operating system and was out of storage space. This one worked great, had more storage and was a great price.

It's nice to be able to use it like a tablet, but I realized we only use it as a laptop and very often the screen freezes when starting back up from sleep.

flimsy, even with delicate handling.

I bought this Lenovo after seeing a similarly-equipped HP for a few dollars more.
This computer had problems with the screen from the moment I took it out of the box. The touch screen went haywire as if somebody was standing behind me poking the screen repeatedly in random places, which made it unusable until the touchscreen was disabled in the software, defeating the whole purpose of getting a touch-screen PC in the first place. The whole screen eventually broke near the hinge from simply being opened and closed and never being carried around in a backpack or being dropped.
I would steer clear of this laptop. There is a serious design flaw in the construction of the touch screen. It's flimsy and, even if you don't take it off of your desk for any reason, seems to be unable to handle simple opening and closing of the cover.
