Computer outer case @ hinges bending

I purchased this computer for my daughter in college. I was hoping with the name and their reputation it would be a good. The outer case of this computer is made of aluminum or some soft metal. There is a something bad with design, the normal opening and closing of the computer, the hinges bend the outer corners of the computer. Which eventually makes it hard to even open computer even a 90°, let alone at 360° like it supposedly was designed to do. The first time it happened, it was under one year and it was repaired by manufacturer warranty, BUT that didn't stop it from happening again and now we are stuck with a very, very expensive paperweight.

I was in the market for a replacement for my older HP laptop. Spent about 90 minutes messing with a wide variety of products. This unit was, by far, the best all. The touch screen is really nice and is super responsive. The computer is super fast, the keyboard has a great feel to it and the unit has a super solid construction. It is very light. An excellent choice for anybody.

I'm on my computer for business 8-14 hours per day. This configuration allows me to have MS Outlook, Word, and Excel open without sacrificing speed. I'm getting use to Windows 8, it's not as user friendly as I assumed it would be, so I'm looking forward to the Windows 10 upgrade. I do like the lighted keyboard. I don't like that the majority of the USB ports are on the right side of the computer because I connect an external mouse and the cords to my additional monitor and DYMO printer get in the way. The touch pad for the mouse is too big and causes the curser to move while I'm typing which is extremely frustrating.

Just about everything with this computer is impressive. It was a bit confusing at first to understand the navigation between touch screen and regular. Once I grasped it navigation became easier and convenient. Something that I missed when purchasing this item is that it has no cdrom drive! I presumed for 900$ a lap top would accomodate that. I was wrong. A small let down, but a great device none the less. Who needs cds anyways?

Laptop is lightweight and functional. Specs are sufficient for most users. The touch screen and "tablet mode" are nice but sometimes a bit difficult to utilize. The laptop will play most games such as XCOM 2 and Team Fortress 2 but the video card is not exactly top of the line. Do your research on the video card in this laptop if you plan on doing serious gaming with it.

The Best Computer I Have Ever Had

I needed a laptop for university coursework and started with a much smaller Lenovo. It turned out that I needed a much more powerful machine. I was not happy with the first Lenovo, and swore I would never purchase another one. In December, I got an ASUS - same specs as the Lenovo Edge - because I adore Asus. The only difference was the Asus came with Windows 10. I discovered the program I would be primarily working with is not compatible with Windows 10. I researched.....and researched. I decided to give this Lenovo Edge a try, because it meets the minimum requirements needed to efficiently run ArcGIS (spatial analysis software), and everyone kept recommending Lenovo. I found this particular model on clearance so thought I would give it a try. First of all, it is a more solid computer than the Asus was, which nearly made me cry. Second, it runs ArcGIS with absolutely no problem (it killed the first Lenovo I had), and much faster than my school's computers. It is sleek, relatively lightweight (I take it to school with me everyday, on the bus)...I love the touchscreen, the power, the graphics - the only thing I don't like is that laptops come pre-loaded with all sorts of stuff that slows things down. Once I removed or disabled all unnecessary programs/aps, it's been fast to boot up. A huge plus is that it plays games as well as my Asus ROG, and was much less expensive. I love this computer, and recommend it to anyone who needs speed and power.

I bought this computer as a Mothers Day Gift. My wife was initially unhappy with the performance of an Asus Laptop we had purchased. Best Buy was great in accepting the return and she picked out the Lenova. She uses it everyday and loves the performance and function of the touch screen. So far we have had no issues at all.

As an upgrade to my 5 year old Dell, this laptop has been great so far. Speed is fast, nice keyboard, and I love the touch screen. I did not think it would matter to me but now that I have it, it's great and would probably not go without one again. The laptop takes some getting used to just because there are so many apps on it and features that I did not have or need before. The personalization and display are a nuisance. I have not yet found my happy place with the display. The 3D mode is unnecessary for me - it's probably great for gaming and photos - but I have not utilized this laptop for that yet. Overall, this laptop is a good value, lightweight, and fun to use.

I like the feel of the keys and the spacing of the keyboard. The touch screen is great for many things. I still use a mouse for clicking on small details. This computer has an adequate amount of USB ports. I needed to download some software to do everything I wanted, including a program for downloading photos. The Lenovo program for photos is great for viewing, but it doesn't recognize when photos are duplicated.

Very easy to use, LOVE the size. I use it for school and personal use such as music, pictures and Netflix. The only problem I've had with it is that sometimes it won't let me adjust the update setting to another time. It will inform me about the new update and the time, it also gives the option to change the time for another date and time, but that check box will not let me click on it to adjust it. Other then that it works great. I'm happy with this buy.

I really thought this might or might not do what I need, but it has worked out great. It does more than what I expected and does great graphs, and is much faster than my old one. Kids love it almost too much, They love it for games and reading.

The Lenovo Edge is an excellent system. The only draw back is the battery life (approximately 8 hours) . It is light weight and very thin so it is easy to transport. The system boots up with very little delay.

This was an upgrade from a windows 7 machine. I like the touch screen features. As far as I can tell the machine works great. Windows 10 is a lot different and I am still feeling my way around and trying to get set up complete. There are a few things that I cannot get set up like I would like which I think is windows 10 issues vs the computer.
